An "alternative" little gallery, set in an old warehouse in the heart of "port-land". We went for the port tasting and found a welcoming host and a fine sample of ports and cheeses. We chose the "basic" and "advanced" selections to share, along with two rustic cheeses from northern Portugal, tastefully presented. Our six ports, with the cheese cost approx 16 euros. We then browsed among the ethnic craft items, created by unassuming local arists and craftspersons, and bought presents for the family. Difficult to find but do persevere - such a friendly, welcoming ambience, as with so much of Porto.

Went here with a group of friends. A very unique and interesting experiance with lots of different art forms on display. I found the painted maniquins very unusual, would have taken one home if it had fitted in the suitcase!!!!!

We visited this afternoon and tried a selection of their ports. It’s such a friendly, welcoming place and we stayed for a few hours. Great selection of art for sale and such a good vibe. The owners were super welcoming and lovely and our baby adored them.

If you’re looking for a quirky ambience to have a tipple then this is your place. The art gallery-cum-cafe serves all the delicacies you can expect from the port cellars but at a fraction of the cost (€10/12 euros a bottle!). The niepoort is a different feel to the other mainstream ports you get elsewhere too so grab yourself some Tawny Dee and Van Gogh down to this Gallery. Just make sure not to drink too much as you’ll have to visit Le Louvre.
