Nice way to get down to the harbour but its a quick trip and not cheap. Worth doing if its a nice day and it's a quick way to get down to investigate the Vila Nova de Gaia area.

Title says it all really! The ride is only about 5 mins each way and the views are no better than those from the nearby bridge. The kids did enjoy it however and it's a bit of a 'different' experience. All in all, good, not...More

Was a really fun gondola ride but in the end it is only a 5 minute ride. The kids did love it and the nice part was that if you take it you end up on the middle of a bunch of Port caves (cellars)....More

This removes the need to walk up or down a steep hill between the waterfront and the top level of the Dom Luis Bridge and the Mosteiro da Serra de Pilar. The ticket price included a free port tasting!

The teleférico is a good experience for the all family. It allows you to get to see places from a different perspective. It's a highlight moment with small kids in a trip.

At 6 euros for a ride of only a few minutes, it's not that cheap but a great view at the top over both sides of the Douro, so well worth the trip!

Only 5 minutes, about 6 Euros one way, great views, and in my humble opinion well worth doing. The gondolas each seat 6 people but are more comfortable with 4, as we were. Didn't buy the photo, although at 5 Euros it wasn't the normal...More

I'm not a fan of heights, but I can vouch and say that it was well worth the ticket. The views from the cable car are truly amazing-

Hi. If we take the cable car up to the cloister, is it possible to walk down after our visit? Thank you.

Absolutely. Various routes for walking down to the riverbank, if you head away first you can go to a port warehouse such as Taylors. Otherwise, why not enjoy the views walking over the upper level of the bridge (going across... More
