Taylor's is a seriously classy place. They offer a highly informative and visually appealing self guided tour in several languages that can last over an hour if you listen to and read everything. I was more interested in some parts and skipped others, but the nice thing is they give you a booklet at the end that covers the highlights.... More

Impressive visit to one of the oldest and more marvelous cellars near Porto, in the Douro river in Gaia. Group dinner with previous visit to the cellars, really well prepared dishes including cod fish and veal, as well as starters and the sweetest and surprising dessert including Cheese ice cream and an special cake. And of course several wines, starting... More

Taylor's tasting room caters for the landed gentry. Beautiful tasting room and facilities. Each port you would like to taste is paid for by the glass, so it is more of a drinking experience than a tasting experience. Very little information regarding the ports we tasted were offered. I saw a guidebook but we were not offered one so I... More

The audio tour at Taylors takes you through the history of port wine and leaves you with detailed information about the process of making port. Beautiful location overlooking the roof tops and the river. The tasting at Taylors is fine, but do try some of the ports too that Taylors offer for sale, they are surely worth the try.

We had tour of the premises including indepth explanations, where the grapes grow and how portwines are produced. The tour was a bit "grungy", which I very much enjoyed, as the place seems to have had quie some influence on the development of the port wine industry in Porto. You walk through lots of huge wooden barrels and there is... More

Great and very informative visit at Taylor's Port. Personally I prefer the audio tour to a guided tour so that was no problem. The port is very good as well. Would come again

They have a very educational, self-guided tour. I did this my second time in Porto, and I'm really glad I did. You get to try two port wines at the end of the tour: a red and a white. Definitely worth the 12 euros.

Great port wine is the greatest attraction of this place. Nice rebuild place, where you can taste one of the best port wines in Portugal. Since it was crowded at the time of our visit our feelings is somewhat mixed, but for sure it is great destination for lovers of ports.

B12.5 Euros incudes a glas of white and red port. Tour of an hour self guided with audio guide. Good at reception poor service and ignored at tasting. Could skip tour and just taste if you like. Quite interesting and wonderful port and gardens but an uphill walk (which limits the crowds).
