Enjoyable, informative tour done independently with handset. Lovely grounds to relax and sample the port. Excellent restaurant with stunning view. Worth the climb up the hill!

The short tour is interesting covering how port is made and matured, where the grapes come from, different types of port, how long they last, how to serve them etc. Afterwards you get three quite large glasses to sample and they are excellent. The shop sells many types at reasonable prices. Enjoyable.

Very well made and informative tour with audio guide. Lots of information, exhibits and audio visual presentation. But a bit like a museum visit. Personally, I prefer a tour guide giving the explanations. The tasting included is not very generous, the cheapest white and simplest red of the house. But if you are ready to pay extra, there is the... More

After a steep climb from the river we were rewarded with a fantastic view and good lunch. The service was good and food a very good standard . The blue sky and cold wine certainly helped make this a special occasion

Taylor's is well worth the up hill walk. The port is delicious and the gardens are beautiful. Staff were on hand to help with questions and offer advice on selections. The grounds and buildings are beautifully kept. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Went on recommendation by a friend. For a €12 entry fee I was wonderfully surprised. The self guided audio tour is very in depth. The tour takes at least an hour which I thought was good, then at the end sitting in the beautiful garden having a sample (big sample!) was magic. Staff were so friendly and we felt no... More

If you enjoy walking I recommend starting on the north side of the bridge and journeying up the hill to Taylor's. There are some great views of the city/river along the way. I chose to pass on the self-guided tour and head straight to the tasting room. The staff was nice enough and explained the background on port wine as... More

After taking the self guided audio tour of the historic port lodge, we discovered Taylor's had a most reasonably priced terrace restaurant offering a great view of Porto. The fixed price 3 course meal was excellent.

We had such a wonderful time at this winery! The tour was very interesting and fun, and the wines we got to taste were absolutely delicious! At the end of the tour we took our glasses and went up to their roof top- was amazing!
