Taylor’s, accepted by most wine authorities to be the greatest of all port shippers, invites you to a pleasant and informative tour of its famous lodges at Vila Nova de Gaia. During the tour the visitor will be given the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of Port wine, as well as that of the House of Taylor Fladgate making it one of the oldest Port companies.

The first impression of Taylor's Porthouse is decadent. But once inside you'll see a world of true craftsmanship and dedication. A "must see" are the enormous Port cellars, huge caskets and the museum. It is spectacular to see how Taylor's is most famous for their...More

Great self guided tour. Very informative. Our children (young/pre-teen) both enjoyed it too. Well worth the time. Also worth noting, the restaurant was phenomenal. The Port wine pairings made it that much better.

The restaurant interior is beautiful, and they also have a small outside terrace for a number of tables as well. All the staff are charming and we all chose the taster menu, and 3/4 of us the wine taster menu to accompany (€19). I have...More

We visited the caves and the tour is quite interesting. At the same time, you have to follow an audio guide that is not very interactive and the basic porto tasting included two glasses with a minimal introduction not very explicative. One of the oldest...More

Situated next to the Yeatman Hotel the Taylor’s lodge is one of the most historic in Porto. If you want to understand the history of Port and how it is produced then this is probably the place to come. For 12 Euro you get a...More

We really enjoyed our tour. The exhibits are professionally put together, giving you enough information to improve your understanding of all things port, while not burdening you with too much detail. You can take the tour entirely at your own pace. It wasn't crowded, with...More
