I'm happy to say that the tour is OK value and the small tasting at the end very pleasant and in lovely surroundings. But I'm not one for audio self-guided tours. As other reviewers have commented, you could just read up the information online and...More

Taylor's Port has been my favorite Port for many years. I was looking forward to this wonderful visit to find out that...it is not so wonderful. Very commercialized place . Quite expensive for self guided tour. You get the recorder with some explanations but honestly,...More

Taylor’s Port winery has invested in technology for its visits and now offer audio guides, therefore allowing guests to go at the pace they want and control the narrative. After the very informative visit you will get to try two of their Ports.

A bit of a hike to get to Taylor's, but well worth it. No need to book a tour, so you do it at your own pace. Beautiful garden to taste ports and watch the peacocks. Very informative and nice finish to tour

We decided just to eat snack lunch here from the tastings menu. Lovely garden setting but food fairly expensive. Most people were there for their tastings after tour but we could choose what we wanted. Cannot see Porto as surrounded by tall hedge. Very steep...More

A decent tour of the building at your leisure using handsets. The making of port is described in detail from start to finish. Very informative and you taste a couple of samples at the end of the tour.

A good lodge that’s fairly commercial as you walk around with your own handset. It’s good value for money and delightful garden for the tasting. We also visited Graham’s that was more expensive but a better experienceMore

To me this really feels like a tourist trap! We did not go on a tour (EUR 15,00 per person is way overpriced!). We did not try any of their ports in the tasting room, nor restaurants, as it was utterly expensive. We looked around...More

Taylor Fladgate is off the beaten track. It’s over 90° here today and you have to walk up a steep hill of cobblestone to get to this place. There is only a single white port available in the restaurant area and it’s pretty good. Most...More

Dear Sandy5259, Thank you in advance for your visit and for your feedback. It's a hard climb as the oldest brands built their cellars up in the hill to avoid damage from river floods but we believe that it worth it. Indeed we have one...More
