Impressive cellar - but very limited information given during the tour and tasting. Expected a whole lot more. The face mask of the tour guide kept falling down, distance was not kept and overall it did not feel COVID-proof. Most of our questions were answered with 'The experts in the cellar know this, etc.' - but we expected the tour to be given by someone with expertise. We ended up not learning much - even in the tasting. We got a glass shoved in our hand and that was all. More of a marketing stunt than an informative tour. Sadly, would NOT recommend.

Didn't do the tour, but did their 3 port tasting just right of the main entrance. There's a small stand with lots of tables to the right of the main entrance and asked about their tastings. Servers spoke English and gives you a menu for options to 3, or 5 port tastings with varying prices. Lots of options to pick from. We chose the 3 tastings for €13 where we had a short, medium, and long aged port. It comes with water and some salty snacks. Our port connoisseur was amazing. He guided us through the different ports, which grapes they use, where it's grown, and why it might taste different from others. Explained everything well. Afterwards he'll leave you to finish your tastings, and gives you the option to buy more glasses (at regular price) or the bottle. Great location, close to the beach and view of the river. Would try other Port with them.

We wanted to do the cave tour and port tasting but there were no times available so we sat outside and just did the tasting on it’s own. Fab tasting, well explained and I got to do chocolate pairing which was delightful.

I thought our tour and wine tasting (in English) conducted by Joao was excellent. He was funny, very informative and extremely friendly and personable. I would highly recommend, furthermore, the health and safety measures to protect against Covid was fantastic and very safe and was done in a way that it did not detract from our enjoyment. Highly recommended and excellent value for money.

Interesting tour and tasting at the end. It took about an hour which is about right to keep it interesting. Great tour guides and relaxed tasting. Decent value for money too.
