Great value and authentic experience

Had a good time here tasting different ports and getting to know the history of Croft port. The prices are very reasonable and I would recommend this to anyone.

There is no hard sell and the focus is on the port. The short tour of the cellar is informative and it was nice to sample 3 of the different types of port available. The bottles on sale are nicely priced.

It's a charming wine cellar a bit hidden, between the old streets near the Ribeira in Vila Nova de Gaia. The prices are very good, and also the wines, we tried three kinds; and the prices of bottles for take away are very good as well. Local people recommended us to go to this wine tasting cause is not so turistic... More

What a fabulous evening it was! The staff was welconing from the moment we entered the place! We tasted three diffrent kinds of port: pink, ruby and tawny. The tour itself was led by an amazing man who made sure that we were informed about all the details of porto production. Fantastic atmosphere, great price (€5), memorable experience. Highly recommended!

I'm not a big wine fan but since I was in Porto I felt like I should go to visit one of these places. For 5€ you can visit their wine cellar and taste 3 diferente Porto wines. The tour, around 20 minutes explain all the process, the history and diferent tastes and colours of the wine. It's the oldest... More

But wear walking shoes, cobbles the whole way up. Great cave/cellar space for tasting, great customer service and info in English, fair pricing, lots of choices including limited editions for purchase. Also cheese and chocolates to pair.

5 Euro's for the basic tour (guide of the cellars and process plus 3 port tastings) was enjoyable and good value, but we paid 5 extra euros for the 'mixology' tour that included an extra cocktail. This had hardly any port in and was not worth the extra money.

This was a really lovely tour - but not got anything to compare it to really. I don't drink alcohol so the tour including exquisite chocolates was just the ticket! Don't know if other tours include chocolates but this one did! :-) The lady who gave us the history and 'lowdown' of it all was very good and her English... More

A very interesting tour in the Croft cellar. It was a very rainy day so we got an extra port for taste. The cellar is very big and the guide very informative. After the tour the staff was very helpful. They help us to rearrange our program for the rest of the day because of the heavy rain.

Croft is by far my most favorite lodge, not only is it beautiful, the guides are friendly and knowledgable! This is one of the few lodges where you will watch the coopers at work!! Fantastic and always make a stop in!!
