I got the wrong address online and went waaaay out of the way to a closed down building. Luckily they had a sign on the door, but the new center is in downtown Norfolk with no parking, so I had to drive around to find some. When I got there she was very helpful in telling me about places to... More

Very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable staff. They steered us in the right direction for a tasty lunch and for the cruise we wanted to take.

Someone should tell visitors about the $29.50 fee to use the (Norfolk) Elizabeth River tunnel. We were not aware of the fees until we got an invoice for $29.50 over 2 months later. After going to Norfolk for a Christmas visit we get this invoice, tried to call the number, but no answer. This is unfair as there are no... More

Hope that other wise you enjoyed your visit to Norfolk. The Tolls on the bridges and tunnels are not a part of the city of Norfolk but fall under the Elizabeth River Project. See below for info on this project and how pay by plate/EZ pass works.Hope this helps. An alternate way to get to Norfolk from points west, is... More

Go place to get local information. If you really want to have fun, while driving and traveling around Norfolk look for the iconic Norfolk mermaid statues in the city. They are everywhere including in Malls, Nursing Homes, and on top of buildings. Can you find em all?

This was a great place to go to get information on the city of Norfolk and all of its attractions. It will be closing soon so people will have to come to the Convention and Visitors Bureau main office which is located on East Main Street in downtown Norfolk (across the street from the Marriott Waterside. In there you will... More

Good point to start to learn about the area and a starting point for deciding what to do and where to spend your time. The choices are many.
