Have been to many shows here. It is without a doubt one of the best venues for last event music I have been to in the Hampton Roads area.

Last night my son and his wife along with my wife and I saw the group Post Modern Jukebox at this interesting venue. We had VIP tickets which got us head of the line entry and access to the VIP bar on the second floor. Whilst we stood for the entire concert, we could adjourn to the comfortable chairs and... More

Love the atmosphere of the norva!!! This is a fabulous place for concerts. The atmosphere is small, but comfortable. You can get close to the stage, and unless you have a jerk next to you, you will have a fabulous time. Explaining: my teen went to see breaking Benjamin (I was there). There was a couple next to her bragging... More

Like the other reviewer said, you have to be prepared to stand all night. This indoor smoke free venue is basically a large bar like setting. There is the main floor area in front of the stage where those who are there for the music stand smashed together, a bar to the side and a bar on the upper level... More

This is a place where you can't expect to sit down. Have the mindset to stand up and party all night while you watch the show. There is a big open floor downstairs and there's the upstairs balcony. A couple bars etc. Great sound system. Most of the ladies I saw in the place started out in their high heels... More

My second concert at the Norva. I could easily describe it as more like a large bar. very few seats and only on second floor, downstairs was PACKED with people, Cole Swindell was sold out so capacity crowd made it difficult to even move on the floor. Had to press thru people to get a drink or to the bathroom.... More

I actually had high expectations for this theater when I first went, as I heard it was the sister theater to The National. The time between the opening band and the main event was something like an hour and a half (for Modest Mouse), while this would be enough to piss most off, I was patient; the crowd which appeared... I've been to probably 100 shows at NorVa and it's always a great place to check out live music. If the fact it was voted as the #1 small venue for a show by Rolling Stone Magazine doesn't make you a believer then my review surely won't. Best place to see the band up close and from a different angle... More
