Located downtown Norfolk adjacent to Nauticus. A great museum of the area with maritime exhibits and more. A great afternoon. On site restaurant and fabulous gift shop. After visiting, take the 2 minute walk around the water's edge to the Pagoda Park.

The Wisky is a family favorite of ours. We can spend an hour or more wandering her decks and talking to the wonderful and knowledgeable docents. The thoughts of walking in the footsteps of the history that has gone before is is thrilling. You can reserve special above decks or below decks tours to get an even more in depth... More

The USS WISCONSIN, an Iowa class battleship, is an amazing display that is well-worth the time and cost of touring. Officially owned by the city of Norfolk, it is accessed through the museum, which was free on the day that I was down there. (Free is good!) You can walk the decks of this behemoth that was created to fight... More

I was born in Milwaukee Wisconsin back in 69. The history of this last Battleship gave me goose bumps as I walked the deck. I even had the privilege to go 8 decks down to its heat. The engine room. The only thing that saddens me, is I wish this ship sat outside the port of Milwaukee. It's a must... More

The Nauticus Maritime museum with entrance to the Wisconsin battleship were both closed on Sunday Sept. 4, 2016. There was a tropical storm in town on Sat. Sept. 3, 2016 so I can see if they closed that day, although the weather was not bad at all. However on Sept. 4, 2016 the weather was beautiful. People were there hoping... More

Had a great time listening to the tour guide tell about the experiences on board. The extra money for the guide is well worth it as that money goes directly to the maintenance of the ship. Thank you for the wonderful, enlightening tour.

Ship is in great condition, plan on spending at least an hour walking thru doing the 'self tour'. Parked in the garage across the street.
