We take this cruise whenever we vacation in this area and always enjoy it. The cruise lasts for two hours. In addition to narration about the Navy, the narrator points out interesting areas around Norfolk and Portsmouth. Seating is very comfortable, and snacks are available for purchase.

A well narrated tour on a clean, well equipped vessel. Highly educational and informative without being a bore-tour. You'll get up close and personal with some of the most awesome naval vessels in the world, and get an understanding of their weapons and power. In addition, we learned lots about the history of Norfolk, barges, wharves, container ships, oil tankers... More

You see so much with this tour. We saw three aircraft carriers, with their groups, and three subs, and so so much more. How neat we did this. The Captain does a great job of narrating everything, and has a lot of knowledge. Safe, cruise, and they have refreshments available.

We took this Sunday morning Victory Rover Naval Cruise and could not have been more pleased. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and the narrator and information amazing. It was unbelievable to see how close we got to some of the world's greatest military marvels.

This cruise brings you up close to a wide variety of navel vessels that the US uses. The tour guide had deep knowledge of all of the ships in port and provided an extensive overview of all their capabilities. The cruise sells some light snacks, water and beer so you won't want for anything.

My wife and I took the 2pm Victory River Naval Base Cruise during our cross-US road trip in October 2016. Check their website for their daily sailing schedule. Parking is across the street in a multi-storey; follow the signs from the Nauticus National Maritime Center, which you will find easily on the promenade. The cruise is very good. We enjoyed... More

This cruise is a must if you are in the area. There are two cruises a day in the winter season 11am & 2pm. The cruise is 2 hours and very interesting. The tour host is very knowledgeable about the area, history, navy and ships in general. Take your camera as there are numerous photo opportunities. The seating comprises of... More

Great way to see local maritime industry & U.S.Navy ships. Narrated tour was excellent but was provided in English only. Not sure how foreign visitors would be able enjoy the great amount of detail info on each of the various ships or tour points passed during the 2 hour visit. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. Give this a try if... More
