You can easy spend a whole afternoon here WITHOUT going to the big ship next door for the free topside tour. Lots of great displays, including the Pilothouse of the USS PREBLE, the alignment systems for the 16" guns, and a fun you-build-it river channel that my nephews and grandson loved. For the season they even have a Christmas Towne... More

Make sure you and your kids have lots of energy, it is a big ship. It was our first time to visit but our family loved it. We have 2 young kids and they loved all the exhibits. We also walked up and inside the ship, my 5 year old son said oh yeah. It is scary looking down at... More

We always enjoy our visit to the USS Wisconsin Nauticus complex. The museum is very well organized and clean. The emphasis on the US Navy-USS Wisconsin, NOAA, and the Norfolk port facilities are very focused and informative. We also viewed the two movies, (The Living Sea and Aircraft carrier). All in all, a great visit and a very nice facility.... More

Closed on a MONDAY afternoon for a private event. Very disappointing given a 30 minute drive from where we were staying and after driving from texas and making this one of our planned attractions. I could see renting a room, but to close the entire venue and attraction for a private function seems really unreasonable given its one of the... More

My family and I visited the Nauticus this past weekend and it was well worth it! I though it had a lot of great information and activities for young children. I was even surprised that it had information regarding the Chesapeake bay and it's ecosystems. The basic entrance included admittance to the Museum and the USS Wisconsin. I was so... More

Unfortunately, our cruise ship arrived later than expected in Norfolk. This limited our plans as we would have also done the harbor boat tour in connection with the museum. We walked off the ship and within 100 yards is this wonderful museum and the Battleship Wisconsin. There is a slight senior discount on the admission. The museum tells the nautical... More

We went down to Norfolk for a celebration weekend and took the Command and Control tour of the USS Wisconsin. I was thinking I'd be bored (I mostly did it for my husband, who loves all things nautical) but the tour guides (Evan and Ed) were so entertaining and knowledgeable we both had a great time. We also got some... More

I don't get it. Obviously a multi million dollar attraction but with mixed messages. The best reason for paying admission is to board the Wisconsin Battleship attached to the building. There is a Naval museum on the second floor which is pretty good but it is free admission. The rest of floors one and two requires a fee of $15.... More

This museum was a great disappointment. It was convenient to our cruise ship, so we decided it would be a great place to visit. The price is supposed to include two 3D films, but they charged the regular price, and the films weren't working. Overall the place looked very run down. It had many inter-active displays, but most didn't work.... More

This attraction is a great way to see our ships of the past. The exhibits are well marked and informative. It is a great place to take the older kids to let them see and experience it.
