The Vidotto Museum, less than one mile far from the popular Jesolo seaside, illustrates military history from the 19th century onwards, with particular focuses on WWI and WWII. The museum is private, and that's maybe the reason it does not have yet the popularity and attendance it deserves. Nevertheless, I highly recommend the Museum to all interested in history, (for the exhaustive collection of objects and memorabilia) as well as to families with children, who will surely have lot of fun with the helicopters, tanks and planes on display! (Not to be driven, of course...) A truly amazing experience!

A wonderful museum with lots of fascinating exhibits. The passion and enthusiasm of the owner Franco was clear to see. He was wonderful with our kids and they both loved the museum and of course seeing and getting into the amazing vehicles in the garden. Unmissable for those in Lido di Jesolo and it’s surrounds. Grazie Mille Franco.

My husband, son and I were on holiday in Lido de Jesolo and picked up a leaflet about the museum.
We are so pleased we made the effort to visit.
If you are interested in military history this is the place to be.
There is so much on display we spent at least 2 hours there and will be visiting again next year.
The museum contains uniforms, weaponry , vehicles and miscellaneous items.
The owner and his son, who speaks good English, showed us round. The owner is very enthusiastic about his collection .
At the end of the tour he asked us to join him in a glass of wine.
Wish more English museums showed this much friendliness and hospitality.

Great museum, brilliant selection of Italian uniforms, military equipment and vehicles. The guide is excellent and friendly. The vehicles are in good condition and you can climb in to them also. €7 per adult and well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit.
Guide very knowledgeable and takes time to tell you the history of the exhibits.
Make sure you have plenty of time for your visit.
Astonishing pieces of Italian military history you won’t see the like of anywhere else.

Picked up a leaflet at tourist information it stated open Saturday Sunday during these months. Asked at hotel they said open weekends bought tickets for bus got there and it was closed!! Online it says open Saturday and Sunday too as it said on trip advisor 2 minutes til open. Someone had put white tape over Sunday we were not best pleased waste of a day. Perhaps information that's upto date would stop this from occurring

it was a very exciting museum, with many military uniforms, weapons, military medals we are very impressed with the outdoor area with cannons, trenches, motorcycles, tanks and military troop transports etc. The best military museum we have visited to date, would definitely recommend it a visit if you are near jesolo 👍

We visited this museum having read a few other reviews and because we have an interest in military history. It gave a good break from the sun for our boys and it was worth the visit.
This museum is clearly a family passion for the owners and they are very friendly and knowledgable. They were on hand to explain things throughout our tour. The museum has an extensive collection of military and police uniforms from around the world over the past century and many artefacts, medals and an extensive armoury. There are also two tanks in the garden and they allow visitors to get inside the tanks, which the boys loved!

We visited in the middle of July as a little break from swimming and sunbathing, this was a great call, we were two families with young kids and the owner gave us a personal tour of the museum where he let the kids try various weapons and climbing in the armored vehicles. The kids were over the moon with excitement.
Definitely recommend as a visit for a couple of hours for anyone with an interest in history or military.

I am working on a documentary and was able to be in contact with the owner. The owner was very kind to help us with our work and giving us a tour of everything. He was very interesting to listen to and the museum has a great collection of items ranging from weapons, uniforms and even tanks spanning from a variety of wars. It is definitely worth the visit.
