About
Our winery organizes tastings by appointment only. It is possible to organize the tasting of our wines – Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, IGT and Vin Santo – at the foot of the hill of Montefioralle on our farm. On these occasions, the Sieni family will be happy to spend time with you telling you about our history and describing the special features of our wines.

    Wonderful experience
Lorenzo was so patient with us (English speakers) and so wonderful to listen to speak. Kind, and so full of knowledge. We had a wonderful tour, tasting and education at this small but BEAUTIFUL winery. Easily one of the prettiest spots in the Chianti region.

    Family winery with exclusive wines
All the charm of a family winery! Warm welcome, insightful tour and then the great tasting. Local food with special wines from an exclusive collection whike enjoying the beautiful view of the Montefioralle town and wineyards.

Excellent tour of a lovely winery
We went on a tour followed by a tasting. The friendly tour-guide knew everything about the estate and the wine-making process and provided us with an interesting insight into the work of an organic winery and the many problems from adverse weather conditions to attacks by pests and bacteria that have to be navigated. The tasting was illuminating and provided a lovely sample of some of the excellent wines produced on the estate. Our many questions on wine-making and the differencies between various kind of wines were expertly answered. The location in itself is a joy as the countryside is very beautiful and the winery sits just beneath the exquisite town of Montefioralle. All in all a very joyful experience that is highly recommended.

    should have stayed longer
We truly enjoyed out visit especially the tour, the views and of course the vino. Came away a little smarter about wines general and Chianti especially. The views are fantastic. We only wished we would have arranged to spend the night there away from the traffic in Florence- check into that if you go.

    Quaint small family vineyard
This is a lovely family owned and operated vineyard. Their Chianti was the best Chianti we had while our stay in Italy. This is a small quaint vineyard with a sweet little history. The food provided with the wine was very nice as well as the view of Montefioralle. It was worth taking a little extra time to visit to little village to us. I would recommend parking in the parking provided by the vineyard and walk to the village from the parking lot as there is limited parking in the village. We found a cafe open and enjoyed splitting a delicious panni while taking in the quaintness of the village. We enjoyed the experience.

As a travel advisor, I will alert you to the fact that $25.00 per person can get you a much better experience than this. Please do not judge Italian hospitality by Manila (the owner) who simply does not enjoy spending time with guests. She will tell you that she leaves you alone on the stark uninviting porch to enjoy the view! Trust me there is not much of a view from the tasting area. The food she offered us included stale bread with a drop of olive oil on it. Honestly, I couldn't even identify the 3 other snacks that were presented all at once. There was no discussion about the wines and what to eat with each tasting. Manila simply and mundanely talks about a bottle of wine for about 2 minutes then disappears until she feels you are ready for another tasting. Do your research after finding a winery in Chianti on Trip Advisor. This place is NOT a good example of Italian hospitality or a good investment of your time and or your money!

Visited with a group of friends and had the most disappointing experience in any wine tour. The hostess was so inhospitable and didn't greet us. She was so uninterested in her role as a representative in the industry. The food was awful, and we were left to work out what was meant to pair with the wines. Whilst the wines were reasonable, the overall experience was forgettable. We paid online ahead of time after reading the positive reviews and felt the positive reviews were fake. I wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone when there are so many decent wineries in Chianti.
The only positive was seeing the beautiful town of Montefiorelle

Not sure why this is highly rated. This was the most uninspired wine tour we’ve ever had. There was no tour, just 3 minutes where the barrels are. The wines and snacks were tasty but setting inside was plain and not special. No story of the vineyard. I know this is a small producer but if you want a special Tuscany experience go elsewhere.

In short, this isn’t a wine tour/ tasting, but a couple of glasses of wine* under a vine leafs patio. They spent literately 2 mins talking about where they make wine. Then sat at a table, poured wine and the person left. Then in 20 mins came back to pour another glass and left again. We left too.

I have been to numerous vineyards throughout Europe and the US. Typically people pay a bit more attention to guests, tell a story, pour a few glasses, explain what we are drinking, how it was made etc.

This vineyard is very beautiful, because of its small size and facility but also because of the spectacular view of Montefioralle village.

The people who look after the vineyard seem to be quite active in social media and web adv in general as it comes up on a lot of articles and has top ratings but it’s not justified in my view.

It did feel like a buy wine from a village supermarket experience. It can be made better though so hopefully people read this.

*did not characterise the quality of wine on purpose because in these tastings this is not the most important thing

We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived but the view from the tasting terrace was breathtaking. It was amusing to see a photo of Manila smiling on the website - had to look twice to make sure it was the same person! Barely introduced herself then in a robot like fashion went through her script. Manila disappeared for such a long time between tastings to the kitchen, I’m assuming she didn’t want to have to speak to us anymore than she had to. We really enjoyed the wines, bought 2 bottles. The food was great! Olive oil is made by them, truly wonderful. Not sure why the reviews state the bread was stale? It is slightly toasted, supposed to be that way. It adds texture and pairs with the oil beautifully. The plate was put in front of us and not told what to pair with what. It was quite funny as Manila disappeared and just didn’t return…we didn’t know whether to just get up and leave, felt rude to do so. Seriously, Manila just left and didn’t say a word. We walked into her kitchen and bought wines so yes, it was over. We saw a group of French tourists walk all the way up the hill and ask if they could sit for a glass of wine. She seriously turned them away rudely and said, bookings only! She turned away about 9 people in the short time we were there. Why? At least offer a glass of wine. She was so rude to them! Please do not judge the beautiful people of Tuscany and their hospitality if this is one of your firsts stop. Everyone has a bad day, I thought she may have had something happen in her life but when I read other reviews, I felt compelled to also say something.

We paid ahead of time but we were a little late because of an unfortunate bike accident involving one of our friends. The hostess was a very rude and condescending woman. She pretty much told us to go away. At least refund our money.
There are better wineries with MUCH nicer people just up the road. As a group, we try and support the local businesses in the areas that we visit. But rudeness is unacceptable.

I just walked around. The man in charge was fully occupied with the scheduled wine tasting. He refused to sell the glass of wine to me. But he gave the nice one to taste. The taste of wine with combinations of the view was on of the most beautiful experience of Tuscany

Ciao Iva, I'm sorry not to have been able to accommodate you but in this period we are really busy with scheduled wine tours. I thank you for not having pretended and accepted with great cordiality what I have been able to offer you. As soon as you have the opportunity to visit this area again I recommend that you book a wine tasting tour in advance!

Myself and my partner arrived, we were greeted by the lovely owner, who took us to their cellar where they store their wine, explained the process to us in detail and answered all of ours questions.
We sat over looking the vineyard, where we enjoyed 4 wine tasting (a very generous amount) and a liquor (vin santo) with a lovely small plate of food.
Lovely little family run vineyard, which I highly recommend to visit on your visit to Tuscany
