Lovely use of a disused railway line to create a bike / walkway. Well lit tunnels and a nearly new asphalt surface. Worth a stop at Bonassola for a beach swim. Limited space on the beach if you don't want to pay for a sunbed!

In the hot Italian sun the cool dampness of the tunnels was really nice. The tunnels are pretty well paved and have lights. The views in between tunnels were amazing. We passed lots of other walkers and bikers but it was not crowded. Stopped along...More

We walked this trail, along with a number of other people, families, children, some walking some cycling, along a pristine sea area. There are many tunnels to walk through, the trail is all tar sealed with the bike area marked separately. It is well worth...More

A great little bike trip with our kids (8 and 12). The old train tunnels are like something out of Harry Potter.

Walk along the old rail line in disused tunnels and reach remote little rock coves. You can come back by train.

It is a great thrill cycling from Levanto to Framura, as the cycle track is wide and flat and pretty safe, and the tunnels from the old railway line make for occasionally spooky moments. There are breaks along the way where one can stop and...More

Easy flat ride or walk about 15kms return in total. It's about 5kms from Lavento to the next village. The path follows a disused railway so much of it is through tunnels through the mountain alongside the ocean. You get some terrific views of the...More

My husband and I chose to walk the portion of this trail from Levanto to Bonassola. As other readers write, the views in between the tunnels overlook the sea and are absolutely gorgeous. I am quite fit and a good walker, and the estimate of...More

The trail is situated on the track of a former railroad along the coast to Portofino and mostly flattened. Good for a hot day as there are a lot of tunnels and some beautiful seesights. Bikes are for rent in Levanto.

I dont know if they have double bikes The battery powered bikes are very easy to use. My husband was 71 and I was 62 and found them great. If you put the bike on turbo hardly any peadling would have to be done.

I would check with Hotel Clelia for temperature and restaurant question. We went on short cycles and the terrain was great. The hiking depends on the weather as when we were there it was after heavy rain and two of the walks... More

When we went there in Nov there was only one open on via Girabaldi in the main part of the village. It's a bike shop where you can hire bikes 6€ half day (which we did). You can also hire for full day. Your accommodation... More
