this is a fairly nice beach, grainy sand. I didn’t find the sun beds too close together as another reviewer stated. I give it three stars because for the high cost to rent a chair and umbrella (for 1 person online it was €40), they don’t even provide a small table or ledge to put your drinks on as most Italian beaches do. Also, right behind me there are workers with chainsaws making a huge racket all day, it seems they are building or perhaps repairing their cabanas. This should’ve been done before high season or should be done off hours when paying guests are not present . I come to the beach for a peaceful environment, to listen to the sound of the ocean and the last thing I want to hear is this awful noise of the chainsaw all day while i’m trying to relax. Disrespectful of guests…..shame!!

Arriving by boat, I swam in from fairly far out. The water was clean, but there were few swimmers in the water. A sand bar where you can stand on the bottom is found about 100 yards out and then a deeper section before you hit the beach. I thought the rough sand/fine gravel on the beach was fascinating because of the variations in color, ranging from some green colored material, to black, to brown, to a light brown. I did not use the facilities on the beach.

In mid October when I visited, the beach area was almost deserted. All sun beds had been put away and there were few people sitting near the sea edge. I walked along the sands and the views out to sea and towards the cliffs and hills were quite lovely. To visit in early summer would, I'm sure, be beautiful!

Everyday I would walk to Baia di San Montano. It is a special little cove that is quite shallow for a great distance into the sea. I spent afternoon upon afternoon there soaking up the hot Italian sun, dipping into the water--which incidentally is warm enough even in June due to the natural hot springs pouring into the Baia--indulging in a cafe di nonno from the snack bar all the while embracing la dolce fa niente -- the sweetness of doing nothing! Truly magical!

Had a day on this beach with my daughter (12), we went to the public part and it was nice and clean and not so many people this day. Close to a little bar with some refreshments, after what I have been reading I didn't think it was to expensive.
Showers, toilets and changing room are free to use.
The beach was lovely, sandy bottom and crystal clear water.
A really good day☀️ My daughters words was that it is one of the best beaches she has been on.

Had a lovely couple of days on the beach. Lovely sand, clear and clean water. Cafe serves good food , freshly prepared. Left side of beach is free to use. Right side ( looking out to sea) , you need to hire a sun bed etc. Cost about 8 euros a day. Cliffs both sides and mountains behind. Very pretty.!Had fun body surfing the breakers. Seems a very safe beach and not steeply shelving. Behind the beach is the spa which was also an excellent day out. You can walk here through Lacco ameno. Don't bother with taxi. Seem to have a tendency to rip you off if left to their own devices. 10 euros from Lacco ameno town is too much. Should have agreed price before setting off. I would think 5 euros max from town would be right.

The sand on the beach is lovely and it is a relatively small beach on Ischia. It's downfall is the unfriendly private beach staff. They tried to charge the highest prices for a day on the beach EUR9 and when I said I would only be staying two hours they told me to sit on the public beach and were not prepared to bargain a half day rate. This is in contrast with Forio and Sant Angelo. Also the toilet facilities lacked running water on the public beach and there is little in the way of choice for restaurants.

This used to be private beach with a very small 'public' area but now has been divided into three sections. The far right is now Negombo, middle section has now been concessione doff to hotels and the far left sectionis 'public' (free) Was only seen with a handful of umbrellas but now coveerd like so many on the mainland. Also the hotel concession area has inferior sunbeds that do not have a head shade or multiple positioning backs like the ones next door in Negombo. The pric efor two beds and umbrella is still good valu and half the price of beaches in Liguria. There is also a new 'public' area snack bar area under sails which sevrves the worse cup of coffee I have ever tasted in Italy. It is a fantastic beach, beautiful sand, very shallow walk out to sea (200yds plus and still only chest deep). No stones/rocks/weeds underfoot-beautifully clean and clear.

From our hilltop San Montano Hotel we had a bird's eye view of the lovely cove. We travelled to the town of Lacco Ameno in the hotel car, then walked to the beach. As it was the end of the season, there were few people on the beach but a couple were in the sea and we enjoyed a walk along the water's edge. The colours of the sea, sky and rocks were lovely and we spent a good hour just sitting on the beach before heading back to the town.

The public beach far exceeds the private one operated by the the thermal park of Negombo although it is much smaller. This is an amazing place and the colour of the water is simply mesmerizing.
