About
The Poseidon Thermal Gardens, unique in the world, are situated on the island of Ischia (in the Gulf of Naples) in the beautiful bay of Citara, and know in ancient roman times for their hot waters. A complex of 20 pools with different temperature from 28 to 40 degrees and filled with hot underground thermal water. The hot springs are of volcanic origin and are particularly indicated for orthopedic ailments and breathing problems. They have also a regenerating effect on the skin against stress and aging. In the medical and beauty Center there is a team of professional that take care of your needs using advance medical and beauty treatments. Poseidon sits in an ecological environment where relax and rest are in synergy with the sea, the sun and the thermal waters. The park is open from Easter to October 31st.

    Relaxing day
An ideal place for couples or families. Started by trying all the different pools, and then finished the day on the beach enjoying the sunset. Beautiful view especially when you are in the higher pools or when at the beach. Bar and restaurant are available inside. Prices more than fair for entry

Beautiful thermal park on the sea
Located shortly after Citata beach and easily accessible by bus, this park offers an infinite number of swimming pools, hot and cold, some with sea water, a sauna in a natural cave, a Japanese bath course. The ticket includes entry to the beach with sunbed and umbrella. From the swimming pool at the top you can enjoy the view over the entire park and the splendid bay. The only difficulty is finding your way around the various pools due to the limited indications along the route, despite the paper map given at the entrance and the sign with the name near each pool

Relaxing holiday at the Poseidon Gardens
This is not the first time we have spent a few days at the Poseidon Gardens We have been going there for at least 20 years and every time we find something new and better from the reception to the cloakrooms Medical and aesthetic center where the professionalism of the workers stands out, starting from the health director Like the food corners, which have also improved especially in the variety as well as in the quality of the dishes Certainly the Poseidon Gardens of Forio will continue to represent a fixed stop on our visits to the island Renato Grassucci

Relax, sea and spa at the Poseidon Gardens
Spectacular structure, well organized and clean despite the large influx of customers. Beautiful and functional thermal pools, integral Kneipp paths and natural sauna. Lush and fragrant gardens, a pleasure to walk along the avenues surrounded by the colors and scents of nature! The proximity of the sea makes the experience complete, with an exclusive view of Citara beach and free and included sunbeds and umbrellas. The restaurant offers well-made local dishes with typical Ischia products. Fixed stop in Ischia to spend a relaxing day!

A thermal oasis on the island of Ischia, but with some flaws.
Located in Forio, on the western coast of Ischia, the Poseidon Gardens are easily accessible both by car and public transport. We were lucky enough to go there on a low season midweek day, and the peace and tranquility we found were priceless. As soon as we entered, we were left speechless: the park is immense, a true green oasis overlooking the sea. There are many thermal pools, each with a different temperature and properties, and scattered among the lush vegetation. There is also a private beach, perfect for those who want to alternate thermal baths and dips in the sea. We spent hours relaxing in the pools, taking saunas and steam rooms, and enjoying the sun on the beach. The thermal water is really beneficial, and we felt rejuvenated. Unfortunately, the only flaw of the day was lunch at the bar: the sandwiches and salads were quite expensive and the quality was not up to the rest of the experience. A real shame, because it could have been the icing on the cake of a perfect day. In conclusion, the Poseidon Gardens are a magical place, perfect for those seeking relaxation and well-being. If you have the chance to go there on a low-crowd day, you won't regret it.

    A certainty
I always come back to this spa. Well kept, flowery, clean. It has many very supervised swimming pools. The result is sure relaxation. The catering is also good, although a little expensive. I have been a loyal customer for decades. I recommend going in spring or autumn to fully enjoy the entire spa experience.

    The beauty of availability
Like every year, on the long weekends of April and May, I am here to enjoy the wonder of the Poseidon gardens. This time something special happened to me: I only had money for entry and I didn't know where to park the car. The very kind Mr. Antonio, Poseidon's valet, seeing me in difficulty said to me with a smile: "let's do it next time!" I hope this generous action hasn't caused him any problems. I would like to thank Mr Antonio and all the Poseidon staff again from the bottom of my heart for their wonderful welcome.

    Exquisite thermal baths
The most beautiful thermal baths in the world, right by the sea, spacious and with lots of lounge areas. There are also various restaurants where everything is fresh. In short: we felt good and enjoyed ourselves very much.

Amazing and relaxing experience during a honeymoon
What a wonderful treasure you will find of relaxation and beautiful views. My wife and I had an amazing time being able to tour all of the different thermal baths along with the saunas and all the amenities the resort has to offer. The sauna experience was fantastic and never have we been as relaxed as after a cycle of the thermal baths. We even had muscle relaxing massages which was the icing on the cake of the whole experience. We had a late lunch at the Wine Grotto and were provided with the best tasting white wine we have ever had and hand-made bruschettas which completed the meal. Massimo at the Wine Grotto made our experience very special and made sure we understood all the things we were ordering. We even opted for getting the 2 day consecutive ticket which allowed us to have a full 2 days relaxation experience that is well worth the price. Highly recommend this place for anyone interested. Ischia holiday
Giuliano Cettina Roberto Manuela we spent a week and we didn't regret choosing Ischia... we were lucky enough to arrive at the natural paradise of the Poseidon gardens... Helpful staff, super clean, excellent welcome from the entrance with the presence of the " Mr. chubby" valet, very nice, affable and attentive to customers and always smiling. Not least the care that the municipal administration shows in choosing highly qualified staff to satisfy the requests of tourists... Happy summer 2024

No one tells you what to expect so here you go:

1. Bring a towel, flip-flops, swimsuit, hair covering, credit card, green pass or equivalent, and at least one 1 x 1 euro coin

2. Cost is 35 eu and they have changing rooms, as well as lockers which cost a one euro coin. Change when you get in, feel safe bringing your phone, reading materials, etc and enjoy. There are chairs near all the pools and a restaurant which is surprisingly pretty good.

3. There are several pools of varying temperatures (there is a map posted) and it's fun to explore them. Some have hot and cold pools.

Beautiful scenery and a variety of pools that guarantee relaxation. The connected restaurant serves amazing food (try the Spaghetti Vongole) at reasonable prices. The spa treatments are really nice and the Beach in front is a plus. Unconditional recommendation!

An experience absolutely worth doing if you are in the surrounding areas.
With a spectacular panorama and view, the spa is complete in every aspect and perfect for any age group. Prices on average with the service and quality offered, I recommend doing the whole day to fully enjoy the experience. We had lunch at the self-service restaurant and enjoyed it, they offer a wide variety of dishes with good quality. Given the size of the park there is always room and tranquility for everyone without finding themselves stuck together.
You have to try it to believe it!

Lovely place but should be advertised as adults only as absolutely terrible for children under 12.

Children can only access a couple of seawater pools (not as nice as hotel pool) which stung their skin. Adults pay full price but impossible to use any of the facilities or thermal pools because children aren’t allowed in the area and obviously you need to be able to supervise your children. Indoor pool was very stuffy and not a single chair available (cloudy day so probably busier than normal). After an hour of realising this was a bad choice - we left. Luckily we were able to get a refund as the water had made our 8yr olds skin very sore and she was crying.

And be ready to buy and wear £2.50 swim hats all day!

this was a very different tourist experience, v enjoyable and relaxing but tiring! the layout is excellent, with lots of loungers and chairs and shade. Access to the pools was very easy and simple and there is access to a very pretty beach too.
The hot pools followed by a cold plunge pool were the best but other pools had massage jets and waterfalls that were fun too.
There were no children there which made it calmer but also slightly sedate, there's a good range of ages though!
Public bus number 2 from Ischia Porto costs just 1.50euros each way ( 40 minute trip) or a taxi is 40 euros one way.
Id happily go again

Great day out. Plenty of pools. We had considered visiting another thermal pools resort but had been put off after the reviews. This one was great value for money, plenty of pools, and plenty of beds if you just want to chill out. I’d definitely recommend a visit. My only negative is that it’s €1 each time you close the locker so make sure you have change with you, and also try to make sure you remember everything. I forgot my swimming hat (note you do need these for all pools!!) meaning I had to find another 1 euro coin for my stuff to be safe. All in all enough, a really good day!

In the midst of all this rudeness what measures does the direction take ... what do they do???
They don't care!!!!!!

Never again in the new amusement water park gardens Poseidon fun

Due to the rudeness of some families on the Olympic pool that continue (for 2 weeks ) to trash an entire pool annoying all the other guests by smoking any substance everywhere , with noise, diving, and bathing without a cap, after daily reports from us and many other guests I repeat from 2 weeks.... We were forced to move to the beach as we have small children and were not protected at all.

The great thing happened when my wife and I took a ride to the spa and noticed more children than in the Olympic zone

Believing that we have already seen everything here too Upon entering the Ischia pool we witnessed the surreal

Enter a family with a girl no older than 4 years (with definitely delinquent style and manners) all in the pool without a cap, cigarettes, half drunk and mannish with some guests next to them, who consequently had to leave ... music, screams more than songs and the obscene thing received the bar service directly under the umbrella with additional alcohol. We had to wait in line at the bar!!! The poor lifeguard who for too long tried so hard to calm them down to a point and disappeared... leaving the energumeni free and without a leash in the middle of a beautiful park and crowded with so many decent people

My question is:
What is the point to be able to take serious measures for who cares about the rules and the work of your employees and to protect the serenity and tranquility of other paying guests ????

In recent years there has been a general decay within this place that has always been an excellence ... the beach entrances are often if not always unattended , the restaurant is unapproachable!

I will make a bad advertisement!!!
despite the good amount paid for the subscription my holidays were a real disappointment because of rude and incoherent...

Enchanting place in the municipality of Forio. Well served by both buses (line 2 terminus) and taxis. You can happily spend the whole day there... there are pools with hot water up to 40 degrees... cold water at 15 degrees... sea water for adults and children and finally a natural sauna carved into the rock... Lots of sunbeds and relaxation areas... Restaurant, bar, diner, sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach... all at a cost of 42 euros + 5 deposit for a bracelet that allows you to use a locker. The only positive thing is that the routes are NOT well indicated... Highly recommended

Oh, I wish we had these in the U.K.! Just so much fun - like Iceland's Blue Lagoon, but without the stink! If you are in Ischia for a few days, don't miss out. It's not cheap, so you need a good few hours to chill. Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous flowers and comfortable loungers. So quiet and peaceful as children aren't allowed in. BRING A BATHING HAT or you have to buy an exquisite specimen from the "boutique". Apparently really packed in summer months, but May 1 was absolutely gorgeous - warm and very few people even for a Sunday.

Relaxing day out at Poseidon Gardens. Beautiful beach front gardens with a variety of size / temperature hot spring baths, set in natural rock terraces across the park. The hot springs are not recommended for children under 12 but there is the beach area and 2 pools for children if needed. I would suggest better for adults or a family with older children. Plenty of lockers, which are included in the entrance price and are activated by your electronic bracelet. Need a €5 deposit for the bracelets which act as your entry/exit ticket and locker key. Changing rooms available or you can hire a "cabin" which seemed to be a lockable changing room which you could also leave your belongings in. Robes and towels can also be hired. As built into the hillside there are steps to reach the upper levels but also pools on the lower levels which are flatter. Hair must be covered in the water, which can be a swimhat (can buy them there) or scarf, bandana or hat. With the number of pools you can easily spend a whole day, with some relaxing on the sun loungers in between. There is a private beach, but we didn't visit the beach as happier in the relaxing bubble pools also don't forget to visit the cave sauna! Overall a great day out!
