About
This year, among the highlights of new openings in Ischia, we recommend an original garden worth visiting. Open only a few days a week, the garden offers a fascinating walk through a variety of exotic and local vegetation. On display, among water streams, is an impressive collection of cacti and other plants that look like natural sculptures - a collection gathered over 30 years which is a must see for any any garden fan.

We have been to much larger cactus gardens, but this was the nicest we have seen. The collection of cacti is excellent, varied and beautiful, but the way they have mixed them together with art and creative touches and made it a living, breathing space is what makes it special. Our only mistake was not to try the food and drinks in the bistro ares, which is nicely integrated into the garden.

This garden has a vast array of different types of cactus plants from all over the world and all of different shapes and sizes. The garden is well kept and the owners are all very kind and willing to help you out with any questions that you will surely have. Try a drink with cactus juice at the end of your tour as it was very refreshing. Maybe a bit costly (10 euros) if you compare this garden with Giardino La Mortella which is quite close by. Recommended!

First the gardens. Collected over 30 years, the cacti and succulents are beautifully laid out in the volcanic soil. Redesigned a few years ago with support from the EU,it is a very special collection, with artworks and sculptures enhancing the amazing shapes and colours from Nature. There is also a good cafe. and an art exhibition.

But even better, above the gardens is a residence with 22 apartments, a swimming pool, and volcanic spa. There are many different locations to relax in,in and out of the sun, many with stunning sea or mountain views. The proprietors are caring and helpful, without intruding into your privacy. A real haven of peace. There is a strong "green" policy, and the residence can be booked through Responsible Travel. Highly recommended for a peaceful holiday or short break.

Well worth a visit. The gardens are fascinating, mainly cactii and succulents but they have one a tree that has existed from pre-historic times, not that this tree is millions of years old but the genus? is. There is a little on site cafe and toilets. Well worth a visit.

Great place to visit to enjoy the beauty of nature!
From the center of Forio, the garden can be reached by foot (pretty lovely walk, except for last 5-7 minutes when you walk along with the road being kind of highway) / by bus or by taxi if you don’t have your own/rented car.
The garden is not a big one but full of amazing plants and will be especially interesting for a fan of cacti and succulents. Wiki states that Giardini Ravino is the result of 45 years of great passion and loving work of Signor Peppino, the villa's owner. I agree - you can feel the passion everywhere in the garden.
You could also play chess enjoying the view from the high lovely sun terrace. If you are hungry or just would like to have a cup of delicious Italian coffee, Cactus Lounge Café will satisfy your needs. The food there is yummy and tasty, the staff is nice and friendly (unfortunately, doesn’t speak English; however, it was not a big issue), the prices are pretty high. We took a caprese salad, spaghetti, two cakes and two cups of cappuccino, that cost us about 30 euros.
I definitely recommend Giardini Ravino and hope you will enjoy it as much as we did.

My 2nd trip to this slice of Paradise. The garden of cactus is amazing. Spectacular sunset views and Mt Epomeo too. The rooms are small, quaint and well equipped. A thermal pool to rejuvenate you and a regular pool to cool you. The property is dotted with cozy spots to relax and enjoy the peacefulness you find. A rooftop seating area gives warmth and more incredible sunsets. The bar boasts a cactus cocktail made by Leno the barman. Delicious homemade cakes and meals please the palate and fill the tummy! A stroll thru the 16 year old cactus garden shares a variety of cactus, succulents, many varieties of flowers as well as free walking peacocks and a pen of adorable bunnies too! Edith, Luca, Angelina, Cristo and Anna are all wonderful and there to help with just about any requests you may have! I love coming here... and hope to many more times.

Make your you stop at the cafe in the middle of the gardens and ask for a fresh pasta dish and a bottle of local wine. You won't be disappointed.
