Indeed very beautiful and peaceful, spent an hr contemplating the incredible landscape and enjoying the sound of the sea. Too cold to get in but good for walking and a bit of me time.
The public part of the beach is quite small, can't only...More
This is a really lovely beach - the water is crystal clear and you can have a really good swim. Loungers and umbrellas are a bit expensive at 20 E for 2 but it is worth it. Loads of lovely lunch options.
Spiaggia di Citara is just beautiful! I just came from spending some days at Forio. I recommend as beaches are away from Marina where boats are docked. Water is crystal clear. Make sure you have cash as ATM are scarce. Wound definitely go again. It...More

Hi, I think the boat is €40 round trip. Then you could walk from the port to the beach, although it's quite a long walk. I'd say at least 40 mins. Otherwise there is a bus that passes that way about once every hour. If you go to a tobacco shop you can get a ticket and they'll also let you know how often the bus goes. It's a lovely beach but the best thing there is the terme of Poseidon. Entry for the day is €30 if I remember correctly but there are lots of different pools and different temperatures. If you want to make a day trip out of it get the first boat from Naples in the morning. The last boat leaving the island in the summer is at about 16:00 I think. Don't forget you need to get from citara/poseidon back to the boat too. There are always taxis outside the terme.....but of course you will be charged an arm and a leg for that.
