The trip to Santorini on the Naxos Star was hellish. It took over 3 hours and when we arrived everyone was herded on to buses, taken to an extremely overcrowded village which was so crowded you couldn’t walk about. It was extremely uncomfortable. After an hour there we were back on the bus and taken to the capital. There were numerous ferries and cruise ships in the bay and the capital was horrendously overcrowded so much so that we couldn’t walk about to see anything. It’s certainly put me off ever visiting Santorini again and if this is what all ports are like when cruising I will never go on a cruise ship. This trip totally wasted the last day of our holiday. Would highly not recommend this trip

We did the one day trip from Paros-Santorini on Naxos Star. It was the most un-organized tour group we have ever been on. When you get to Santorini they pile you on a tour bus and dump you into shops to buy souvenirs. Your next stop is the same thing. We did not want to see Santorini like that. If I wanted to buy souvenirs I would've just gone shopping on Paros. Granted it was really cool coming into the island and seeing the buildings on the side of the mountain. Our tour bus didn't show up at the 2nd stop so we were late by the time they did get us a bus and we didn't have time at our 2nd stop to really do anything. When we arrived back in Paros the tour bus driver for one group left them behind and so our bus driver had to pick them up. I have never heard of a tour company ever leaving anyone behind. That is not acceptable!!

I emailed them to inquire about a booking and didn't even get a reply. Pity. So we went with Captain Panos.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day out on Santa Maria. The barbecue was excellent and the drinks very good and plentiful. The crew were extremely pleasant and helpful and as far as we could tell everyone really enjoyed themselves.

We left at 10:00 and returned at 19:00 and we enjoyed every moment! Our children (6 and 7 years old) liked the boat so much that they did not even leave the boat during the 2.5 hrs stay in the beautiful harbour/bay/beach of Pano Koufonisi. On the way back there were some waves which was fun! I can recommend it! Bring snorkel, sun cream, sunglasses and if you want to jump from the rocks at the Rina cave, bring some shoes to climb the rocks. We were only some 20 passengers which was great given the capacity of the boat being above 150 !
