Cine Naxos is amazing and you need to visit, ok that's all you really need to know. 😀

Long story: We came to Naxos for a large family holiday and I introduced everyone to this brilliant cinema (I'd been by myself 3 years ago and in between I'd talked about it a lot)

So I was nervous in hoping it would still live up-to the experience. Yes, yes, yes it did and OMG, everybody just loved the experience, we saw 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' and had so much fun. Watching that film filled with Greek archeology beneath the stars on an island sat in the Aegean Sea just felt like the ultimate way of seeing any Indy movie. 🧑🏻‍🌾

In fact my youngest kid talked about the experience so much and asked could we please see what was on next! So we came back the next day and saw Mission Impossible and that was just as much fun. 🤩

You need to know that all of the team at Cine Naxos do a fantastic job. The cinema is fantastic, as is the projection and the sound. The environment is very wheelchair and family friendly, and the snacks, damm those nachos with cheese🧀 wow, just take my money now....plus the old tradition (at least for me) of having an intermission is great, my youngest daughter just loved that idea!. And yes again like I said the staff, are so kind, have sooo much of energy and just bring a genuine happiness to show film and really showcase this little hidden treasure of Naxos! 🗿

Naxos has a lot for the traveller, I studied archaeology so I love this place for it's history, culture, great food, fantastic scenery and of course it's warm wonderful people. Now add in an open air cinema of this quality and hey I'm seriously considering moving :) Maybe you can sort me out a monthly pass guys? 😂

To you all keep up the great work and see you/ next time!n Dany & Family

Amazing place to watch a movie. Clean outdoor area makes you feel relaxed and comfortable. Great selection of movie snacks and drinks.
The owner most polite and accommodating person.

I saw this place as it was next to the place that I rented my scooter. They were showing "War Dogs" which was timely as I had read the book on the plane on the way over. It was the original film in English with Greek subtitles.

The theatre is a great set up with maybe 100-150 chairs on risers so great site lines. There are small tables in between chairs to put your refreshments on. There was a canteen with pop, beer, wine, popcorn etc. They take a brief intermission to allow you to refresh your drinks and use the onsite WC.

Overall, very enjoyable and only a short walk from the downtown area. I think I paid around 8 euro but not sure.

Since we were staying at Porto Naxos Hotel, we were seconds away from the cinema; we thought we would try it out having never been to an outdoor cinema before.

The showing times were 21.00 and 23.35

Overall the experience was good. There was a good atmosphere (probably due to the film being Jurassic World). People knew they would be in for a cheesy, action, thriller-comedy.

What made it more of an experience was the barking dog in the house situated to the rear of the cinema. In one sense, I feel sorry for the homeowners, who have to suffer the cinema noise every night and the dogs barking into the early hours, but in another sense, it added to the ‘Greek-ness’ of the experience. The tense music caused the dog to bark, doubly alerting the audience to when a dinosaur was going to eat someone. I imagine this “4D” element could be frustrating with other films.

Tickets were €7.50 each which was a fair price. Popcorn, drinks and snacks were also reasonably priced.

Our advice would be: cover your arms/legs or wear insect repellant because there are a few mosquitos flying around. The occasional arm flails across the screen from those sitting in front of you batting them away. We were prepared for this and didn’t get bitten.

Also, be aware that smoking is permitted, which isn’t ideal if you’re a non-smoker. We had a chain smoker next to us.

Overall it was a good experience, but it was just a cinema at the end of the day – it did what it was supposed to!

thank you for finding the time to write your review and express your opinion , must let you know thought that the barking dog does not add ‘Greek-ness’ of the experience as you mentioned and i must say that is a bit insulting for greeks , at least for those who understand english. being a customer doesnt give the right to make comments such as , especially a bit diminishing. And again thank you, you've been kind and generous , and god save the queen !

Great time watching a new movie outdoors. They change the movie every week so if you're there for a short time you may only be able to go once. We got bit by mosquitoes unfortunately, but the concession stand carries bug spray that they let us use which was really nice. About 15 minute walk from the port area - really easy!

We really enjoyed visiting here. It was such a lovely place with spotless toilets. We purchased a couple of beers and had a good choice of seats with a table. Halfway through the film everything came to a halt. Then we realised that the film had been paused so we could use the toilets and refresh our beers. A great night out.

Recently build, amazing screen and sound, latest movies, pet friendly. We have been there for 3 movies and must say we look forward to revisiting. Brought the dog with us. Cozy seats and tables to rest your refreshments. Wish there were more like this one. Excellent!

Great idea given the beautiful weather. Something different to do after an early dinner. Shows dependent on sunset - in June it was at 21h00 and 23h00. Posters all over town and pamphlets in shops and hotels tell you what's showing - it changes every couple of days. Tickets 7.50 euro. Suggest take a jacket as it gets chilly and breezy when the sun goes down. Wear long pants and closed shoes as there are mosquitoes. Great salted, buttered popcorn, snacks and both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages - it is expensive so perhaps take your own.

thank you for your kind words and finding the time to do so , regarding your observation that the bar is expensive i must remind you , since you already visited the cinema you must noticed for sure the signs all over that food and drinks not bought from the cinema bar are not allowed , and that is for the wellbeing of the cinema because as i guess you can understand to have a business and being able to support it in an island is difficult , so its not that we are greed its a matter of staying open and of course we have to sell in bar prices and not wall mart prices , and again thank you for your time and be sure that your words are always helpful .

As our hotel was near the cinema we decided to try it. The movie was show in original version with Greek subtitles. The prices were a little bit lower than in Austria (7€ per ticket). There is also a little bar with drinks and snacks, sound and visualization was surprisingly well done.
Our evening was perfect there!
