My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our guided bike tour with Nikos. Their e-bikes are excellent. Nikos is a knowledgeable native of Naxos. He was safety conscious and took the pace that was comfortable for us. The route was beautiful with stops along the way for bits of history, culture, geography. Our stop for lunch at Yanni’s in Halki was a highlight. If you have a day in Naxos, I highly recommend a guided bike tour with Nikos. He is delightful. We saw a lot of the island and learned a lot about Naxos while being on the move and getting exercise.

The bike i rented from Naxos bikes was in great condition. I am very happy with customer service also. I have had a 24 hour bike rental and i managed to cycle a lot because of how good the bike was. I rented the cheapest one. I have cycled in Naxos again in the past but rented from somewhere else. At night i camped in the wild. I will repeat in the future. Emilios Cyprus.

We did the 3 hour easy ride which took us on farm roads to Plaka Beach and Agia Anna and back. 24 hour bicycle rental was included.
This was the best bicycle I have had the pleasure to ride and the saddle was very comfortable. We enjoyed the commentary of our guide. We would never have found these roads by ourselves - it was great not having to deal with traffic.
We could have gone a bit faster given that it was just the 2 of us and our guide. Other than that, it was great fun.

We booked a 3-hour guided tour with Yanni. He charges same price that comparable bike tour companies in Mykonos and Athens charge for 4 hours.

No frills: no water, no snacks, no photos.

Yanni's English is extremely limited. He offered almost no explanation of the sites.

Yanni biked EXCRUCIATINGLY slowly. We asked him to please speed up because our group was dangerously bunched up. One rider stopped counting his requests to increase speed when his pleas hit double digits.

When a light drizzle began to fall, Yanni abruptly ended the tour, even though we were happy to ride in the warm, passing sprinkle. He said he wasn't having fun, because of the rain.

He returned to the shop after 2 hours and 20 minutes, despite our willingness to continue the tour. Even though he cut the trip short, he demanded full payment. In cash.

On a six day bike tour through the Greek islands and mainland Greece, we were impressed by the professionalism and passion of bike tour leaders. Except for Yanni at Naxos Bike Tours -- he ripped us off.

We just rented a couple of bikes here and headed out on or own for the day. Yannis has a great selection of bikes. We chose hard-tail mountain bikes and they were in great repair and a joy to ride. Yannis can also suggest a lot of good routes. W did a circuit from Chora up to Chalki, a side trip to Filotti, then up to the pass just past Mani. This was a moderate 45 km route with a ca. 500m climb. The payoff was a glorious 20 km descent back into Chora via Kinidaros.
Naxos offers a great range of cycling routes, from nearly flat to some serious climbs. The sea and mountain scenery is wonderful. The traffic in town is not bad, and it was quite light once we got out of town. One could easily spend a week or more here based in Chora (Naxos town) and cycling a different route every day.

Gioannis arrange tours of appr, three hours, and decide a route to fit the participants of the group. He will tell you, if he jufge the other participants are either more fit or require an easier ride than you would prefer yourself.

I went on a tour to the temple of Demeter, where we passed through the countryside and small villages. Breathtaking views and a few steep hills. On our way (we were three) Gioannis generously explained about the country and history.

Gioannis supplies high-qualty bikes and equipment, and on the tiyr he are very concerned about your safety.

Highly recommended.

It might be out of season but the service we received was not good. We ended up hiring a bike from Real Bikes at the opposite end of the port, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful.
But back to Naxos Bikes - no guided tours as they have no guides available. Having established that we could rent a bike the following day, the shop was closed when we arrived in the morning. There was a notice saying back in 10 mins after 30 mins we phoned the owner. We were asked to come back in 2 hrs we did and he’d been delayed, and thus it went on. So no bikes from Naxos bikes. But Real Bikes are great

Hello, we thank you for the review and we are sorry for the trouble you had to go through. Unfortunately the shop had just opened and we where still trying to readjust to normality. We hope to see you again and give us a second chance. Thank you very much.

This continues to be a great way to experience Naxos (reviews shared previously still hold true). Yanni provides plenty of options (equipment/routes) for novice and experienced riders alike. We rode toward the end of the tourist season and ended up just the three of us enjoying the day. Yanni was punctual, shared some history and allowed for stops along the way at our discretion. Can't go wrong here. ttz

I want to do some trips with a roadbike on the island and be happy to get one. All worked well. The bicycle had 2 x 9 Shimano Sora gears with the lowest gear 34/25 and you need this for the tough climbs like Mountsouna uphill. You can get SPD pedals and shoes. This helps a lot.

My wife and I stopped by the day before to book our tour. It is located right by the port in the old town. We wanted to see the parts of the island that were more traditional and local. We are both in good shape, but don't bike much, so we wanted something fairly easy.

Yannis recommended a tour to the beaches (Plaka and Agia Anna) and some riding through local villages. We were each sized for mountain bikes and we on our way. We biked through the villages on a variety of terrains - street, dirt and mud and uphill, downhill and flat.

The first part of the ride was pretty easy although biking through the muddy bamboo fields was a little tricky. After about an hour we arrived at Agia Anna - a beautiful beach. Then we kept biking along the coast and finished at the Plaka Beach - another really beautiful beach (that we went back to the next day, but by bus). Then we headed back through some other villages with great views of mountains.

Overall, we biked 17 miles and were super tired at the end. We felt great though - we saw parts of Naxos we would not otherwise have seen. Yannis was a great guide and we biked at a good pace. Highly recommend a bike tour with Yannis - it is a great way to see Naxos.
