We returned for the third time this year, and had four brilliant evenings at the festival. Some of the same concerts, and some new ones/ new films. There is enough to make a stay on Naxos a varied experience, not just sun and food. We look forward to supporting the festival for many years to come.

it was approximately 30 m. above sea level. where Sanoudo built the castle. In the centre of the castle settlement there is a square with the Catholic Cathedral and the ruins of a tower. we entered there with a guide. there was so much to see and even more thing to admire. The architecture, the old antiques... You absolutely have to... More

This is such a good castle to explore around and probably best done in the evening or early morning. You catwalk up to the top or take a lift which cost 50c per person. When you get to the top the views are breathtaking across Naxos Town.

Although very small, Kastro in Naxos is a cool site to visit. You can walk up from Naxos Town and visit the shops on the way up or you can take an elevator to the top where you end up at a cafe overlooking Naxos.

The Casle is amazing and the small alley could get you to the top where the view of the sea and the " Portara" was panoramic and unique!!!

The castle is a must see during the day and night. We actually booked an evening of entertainment within the castle walls. It was a night of Greek dancing, Greek music, Greek story telling, and unlimited Greek wine and ouzo. While I do think the drinks were watered down, they were unlimited, The price was 28 Euro to sit in... More

If you miss the kastro, you've missed the best part of Chora. Take time to wander along the passages to find local artists, museums and restaurants. You will also see Naxos cats lazily stretched out in the sun, or in the case of a kitten, meowing for his food as it was dinner time. Just take your time. We explored... More

Kastro is a place to be if you are on a hot day, stroll along narrow streets, visit small local shops with souvenirs and enjoy the atmosphere
