Great place!
Jul 2019 • Friends
We went there just to have one drinks, ended up staying for many more. The bartender was the best and he made us feel very welcome. He knew exactly what kind of drinks we wanted and the shots were great. Music was also really good. We went back there again another night. You should definitely check this place out!!

Gay friendly in Naxos
Aug 2017 • Solo
Babylonia is the closest thing to a gay bar in Naxos. The locals call it more gay friendly than gay.

It's hit and miss in terms of whether you'll find a crowd there. It was late in the season when I was there, but there was always someone having drinks at the bar.

It's not the prettiest place, but it's friendly and sits on the second floor, above the storefronts in the port. It opens late (9:30 pm) and stays open into the early hours of the morning.

Dimitri the owner is very friendly.

If you're looking for a party, though, this isn't exactly the place to go to find it. It's more of a have a drink and chill type of place

Friendly and interesting 🏳️‍🌈
Oct 2017 • Couples
Bar Babylonia is a friendly and interesting bar with a wonderful mix of people; tourists, locals, gay and straight. It’s a friendly mix of people and the owner chats to everyone alike.

Dimitris, the owner is a warm, friendly and interesting chap with lots of anecdotes to tell. The music is eclectic with something for everyone and although lively, it is still possible to chat.

The bar has essentially two areas. The main bar area is low lit with tables and chairs and has some lovely artwork scattered about. Beyond the bar is a large balcony which looks out over the main square and harbour front. The view are wonderful and it’s a great place to sip a drink and watch the world go by.

Generally the bar opens at about 9.30pm Tuesday until Sunday and goes on until the small hours. During the winter months (October to June), my understanding is that it opens Thursday to Sunday, so best to check before heading out.

One of Dimitri’s hallmarks is to hand out shots of Amoretti and Jameson’s whisky, which might sound like alchemy, but are very welcome.
