This is a long story! :(
10 of us (with older kids) decided to do a cruise on the Danae! Brochure looked great and offered various routes to choose from
We chose the route that went south, which offered the calmest 'ride'.
It was so bumpy and the sea was rough. My daughter started vomitting, my friend was green, but the ironic thing was that one of our other friends with us was also a skipper so he knew that we were not on the chosen route .
These guys hadn't told us anything! When our friend confronted Marios he first denied it then our friend, who happens to speak Greek as well, told him to stop lying and then he admitted it, saying he wanted to show us around.
My problem was that the skipper should have told us before we set off that they were changing route. If they had been honest with us we could have decided before whether to stay or choose anoth day!
From there everything went downhill FAST.
We stopped to swim, for exactly 15min then back to the very rough seas.
Eventually someone else confronted Marios who started insulting our group! He told us he wanted us off the yacht because we were 'bad luck'
He offered us our money back, even double if we just left. He said he would pay for our ferry tickets, told us he had had 'millions' of clients who were all happy.
He then took us to Paros and insulted us again in front of all the other passengers. Before we got off I asked Marios to give us 'his word' in writing and he told me (I am a woman) that he wears pants not a skirt, he is a real man! That was it for me! Understanding that we weren't leaving he gave us a piece of paper with a promise to pay.
I waited for the catamaran to come back from their tour and after discussions and excuses we EVENTUALLY got a refund on our creditcard and only because I was like a bull!
If they had come up to us quietly and explained why they had changed route and had spoken to us like adults we would have probably come to a mutual arrangement.
Really bad experience.
