Just back from a day and a half skiing (we were sent home due to the Corona virus)! So we never actually saw the slopes ☹️ This however is our 2nd year in this chalet and it’s fab. Helped by the location of it (100yds from the gondola up to Meribel) and the management of it. The chalet hosts Alex and Kit couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Full marks to them. As usual the catering is of a high standard. The hot tub really helped us relax after the shock of having to go home !
Ski Blanc Mngr, Alice was very informative and honest with what was going on. Probably thanks to her honesty that we managed to get a flight home before the thousands of other Brits trying to get home. Would definitely recommend this chalet to anyone.

Arriving last week of February we were welcomed by Abby and Tj who looked after us extremely well throughout our stay . We were a party of 14 consisting of 8 adults and 7 children . The chalet is warm and comfortable , and homely , ideal for families who want to feel relaxed with children The chalet is ideally placed for the ski shop ,( down stairs , very efficient ) the bus stop 20mtrs away and the bubble 5 minute walk. Ski Blanc staff were all warm, friendly and helpful. We had a ski locker at meribel centre which i would recommend if you have children. We used the ski blanc minibus most evenings to return to the chalet after a couple of hours of apres ski . We would recommend ski blanc who were excellent .Our whole group agree Tj and Abby made us feel very welcome throughout our stay , Tj's breakfasts and evening meals we excellent and Abbys cakes and biscuits were superb. We did hear the early morning deliveries on a couple of occasions about 5.30 am , but to be honest we were all that tired from great skiing it wasnt a problem . The hot tub was a bonus , it was emptied and refilled during our arrival day which was good to see and both children and adults thoroughly enjoyed using it.

If you are looking to hire skiing equipment in Meribel look no further than these guys.

Your equipment is waiting for you in your chalet, they come out to fit them and it's all done in with a smile which never goes amiss.

However, their focus on customer service was nothing short of spectacular on my first day of skiing.

My own boots were crushing my feet for some reason, but a quick call to Ski Higher and within 10mins a van pulled up with different boot sizes for me to try. And they even took my own boots back to the chalet. Not be left out, they did exactly the same for my wife that afternoon.

I cannot recommend Ski Higher highly enough. They have a lifelong customer in us now.

Note that if you take lessons with Oxygene you currently get a 20% discount on what are already very competitive prices.

We had the pleasure of staying in Abby and Tj chalet La Vieille Scierie. What a wonderful experience.

We cannot thank Abbie and Ty enough for their excellent hosting in this wonderful chalet.

The chalet itself is in a perfect location and is easy to find. The facilities are great with a feeling of high quality throughout and it is spotlessly clean.

It was all we had hoped for and much more. We had such a good time which will be remembered for many years.

Abby and Ty made us feel so welcomed and nothing was to much trouble. Their meals were delicious and of a high quality and unbelievable afternoon cake.

We had a week of laughter, and above all incredibly warm hospitality! I even learnt how to ski.

A lovely village down the valley from Meribel town. Wonderful to visit in spring sunshine. The free bus comes down and you can also ski to it in high season.

Second time visiting Les Allues and staying in Les Sauges Chalet which is perfect for group holiday. Ski Blanc organise all the transfers, ski hire, locker hire ski passes for you so you can get up on your first day and get on the slopes even running you to the slopes the first day to get your skis to the lockers. The chalet is amazing with everything you could want, sauna, steam room, hot tub boot room with boot warmer. The food- what can I say, this year we had the totally amazing Scott and Holly who were fabulous hosts to us and made our holiday extra special with their warm welcome on arrival and delicious food everyday. Afternoon tea was perfect with a selection of different cakes, bread and jams etc which we all loved. The breakfast/dinners were of restaurant standard and each morning we were told what we were having and if anyone did not like it the were offered an alternative. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they made our holiday special in every way. Thank you so much.
Would highly recommend for groups taking the whole chalet.

Great holiday thanks to Alex and Hannah, our hosts, who looked after us wonderfully well in Feb 2018. Chalet was really clean, warm and had everything we needed. Alex and Hannah were very accommodating to our children, nothing was too much trouble. Only 15 minute ride on the Olympe chair lift to the Chaudanne (Meribel ski centre). Tasty cake and meals which Alex and Hannah kindly adapted to meet our needs. Big thank you all round :-)

We found a wonderful chalet, this year we had enough snow to ski back to, although only 10 mins on the bus to Meribel, a perfect ski area! I would definitely come back here. We didn’t go out again after coming back from skiing as we had enough of us to create our own entertainment. We had a few beers in Meribel before getting the bus back. Being slightly out of town was a cheaper option too!
