No "probablies" about it ! We, a family of 6, had booked 2 instructors for private ski lessons each morning for the week of Christmas when we were in Meribel, all of us are beginners and it was our 3rd Ski holiday. We also had booked a private instructor for one of the children to snowboard in the afternoons and a family snowboarding lesson for the rest of us on Christmas day ! ( why not we said ! ) We were able to start ski lessons at 11:30 each day, this allowed us to avoid the mad rush out of the Chalet first thing and the ski shop mayhem, a nice easy start to each day of the holiday. We met Phil and Gary on the first morning to ski and split into our 2 groups. Both of the guys were excellent, very informative, easy going and took us all at a rate where we were all comfortable with the pace and pushed the right amount to challenge us a little. Mike started the afternoon Snowboarding to start, starting with one student and winding up with more after the christmas day group lesson. It was all Zoe's fault because after the taster we liked boarding so much so she also got roped into the short notice afternoon lessons. The parallel lines team were able to deliver the goods, the Hamills were afternoon boarders, even managing to get a last minute session for Mum in on Saturday morning ! We have had private lessons every time we have gone skiing. We all came away agreeing that to date these have been the best lessons we have had, they will be very difficult to top. Some may attempt to argue that private tuition if expensive, however, you get the undivided supervision, knowledge and tuition of a professional for every minute of that 2 hours, a professional that makes it fun, safe and and highly informative. The 2 hours flew every morning and afternoon by the end of the week we were all skiing better, smoother, a little bit faster and safer. The bruises acquired learing to snowboard are fading but worth every minute and cent. Hopefully we will return to Meribel and we will booking with Parallel lines every time. A big thanks to Phil, Gary, Mike and Zoe for everything,skiing, boarding , local advice and general "craic", you were all fantastic, we had a great time and we also hope that Mike is over the trauma of being the "soft place to fall" for a 15st 48 yr old father of 4 ! ;-)

My family got invited on a skiing trip in January 2020, I had never skied before apart from a day at the snow dome in tamworth, which I really struggled on. So when we arrived on the Sunday I booked with parallel lines for skiing lessons starting on the Monday. I arrived and was put in Craig's group, nervous & not knowing what to expect it was straight up to the top of Rhodos. I could only really snow plough down the slopes, by the end of the first session I could turn with a plough. He worked with the group all week on getting us turning parallel with legs shoulder width apart. Craig was more than patient with me, he made my confidence grow and by the end of the week I had pick skiing up well and really really enjoyed the week. His lessons are great, he explains things clearly and well. We will be back next year and I will be using parallel lines again for sure. I can't really thank Craig enough for pointing me in the right direction, top bloke. See you 2021

Simply brilliant from booking to actual lessons. Myself, wife and son (10yrs) had never been skiing before and booked lessons with Parallel Lines on arrival. From the first contact they were professional, informative and accommodating. Most of our lessons where with Mike and he was exceptional especially as we had never done this before and by the end of the week we were skiing as a family which was amazing and totally not what I expected. I'm no spring chicken and for me to go from total beginner to skiing in less than a few days was testament to the skill and teaching of Mike. I would recommend the private lessons as you can learn at your own pace and Mike was able to pick out what each of us needed to do to improve. We also had Dan for one day who again was fantastic with all three of us. I have to say to anyone thinking of booking with Parallel Lines you will not be disappointed they are fantastic and absolutely made our skiing holiday better. Absolutely top drawer!!! Thank you Mike, Dan and the team from Jonathan, Ali and Elijah - you have us hooked on skiing now!!!!!

I highly recommend Parallel Lines...my four children made excellent progress with a week of lessons. The instructors were kind and extremely knowledgeable. They challenged the kids whilst keeping them safe and feeling confident at all times! The kids had a blast! There was an appropriate group for every ability level and class sizes were kept to a minimum which was brilliant.The organisation was also superb. Worth every penny- we’ll be back!!!

Once again we were delighted with the level of the group ski lessons with Parallel Lines. They always stand out as the most professional company in Meribel. Maria was an excellent teacher and ensured that the lessons were fun. They always have a shadow skier at the back of the group to ensure that everybody is safe (Unlike a French ski school whose numbers are outrageous and they don't have anybody at the back to ensure the children are all with them!) Our son has now progressed through the levels with Parallel Lines and is now a confident skier on any slope. I'd highly recommend Parallel Lines to anybody considering learning to ski with a ski school.

We took both adult private lessons and also kids ski school. Both very good with friendly and helpful instructors. Particularly pleased that the kids ski school was small manageable groups of similarly aged kids. Daughter enjoyed it and liked her teacher. Would use this school again.

We asked Zoe if she would focus on improving our children's parallel turns so we could film them for their GCSE PE assessment in skiing. They were looking extremely professional by the end of the week and we couldn't be more thrilled. At the same time Zoe coped with our lively youngest child (12). Her professionalism in keeping them all on track was very impressive given the range of ages and abilities she was juggling. I would highly recommend Parallel Lines and Zoe in particular for private and group lessons.

Four of us booked with Parallel lines for our Jan '20 trip, two of us took level 5 Group plus private lessons, we were lucky to have Mike Bates for both....his teaching skills are wonderful, we felt we had made real progress by the end of the week, it was a hugely enjoyable experience, I would highly recommend Mike. My sister added these comments "I am one of 2 woman (aged 65 and 70+) who love to ski the gentler slopes in Meribel, Zoe Norton understands that our ambition is to improve our ability and confidence. Her patience and good humour are boundless, I can't recommend her enough"

I have been skiing a few times but wanted to brush up on my skills. I phoned Parallel Lines on my first morning in Meribel - the lady on the phone asked me plenty of questions to discover what I wanted to achieve from my lesson. This was then all passed onto my instructor so I didn't have to repeat myself and he knew exactly what I wanted to gain from our lesson prior to meeting me. I wanted a private lesson which was not a problem and I was thrilled when the price came in a lot cheaper than I thought I'd have to pay (after looking at some prices on line) My lesson was with Richie - who was really friendly and boosted my confidence loads. He assesed my technique and gave me loads of information of how to improve my skiing. In summary; super friendly yet professional staff, all so easy to speak to and find out my skiing needs coming in at a great price. I will definitely use Parallel Lines again.

Really worth the private tuition fee. Miko was great he spent time at first with terrified me and as my confidence grew spent time with my daughter advancing her skills so you don’t have to be on the same level to benefit. It was great as he also showed us the area and which runs were suitable for our ability. A really good start to the week.
