great to wander around and appreciate the original artwork. /don't expect to find a bargain, most are pricey but they are original!

A very colourful little place to visit where you will find no end of workshops, transforming the little fishermen cabins into interesting local businesses. Cafés and restaurants abound and there are toilets too.

This is a lovely spot for photography with the most picturesque huts being the original dilapidated fishing huts with all of their fishing paraphernalia propped up outside. Some nice places to eat fresh seafood and a couple of lovely interior design shops, although I wouldn't visit here for shopping reasons as over all in that regard it could be greatly improved with more skilled artisans.

We visited in mid June, when most of Oleron was sleepy, but these cabanes were busy with what seemed to be a couple of coach parties. There was more room to walk around after they all disappeared at about 4.30pm. Most of the artists at the cabanes were actually making their wares at the brightly coloured huts. Produce varied from glass lamp shades to marquetry to abstract paintings. We spent just under 2 hours here including some photography.

Nice to walk by this cabanas. Maps navigation is a bit wrong but you walk by it anyway. Looks very nice :). Best to combinate this with a visit to chateaux castle. Its walking distance from each other. They have good restaurants in the centre.
