I could have been in the Caribbean! beautiful sand and crystal clear water! And as the beach is protected, you can actually swim as no big waves.

We went to this beach several times during our June stay - in peak season, there won't be enough car parking here. Luckily, the craters at the entrance and exit to the car park were filled in during our time there, as they were disgraceful! There are no facilities here. There was little litter or debris on the beach and compared to other beaches on the west of the island, there were fewer flies.
Access to the beach is up and over the sand dunes, so access is very difficult for those with mobility issues.
Once on the beach, there is a long expanse of sand with views over to Fort Boyard in the distance and there was a selection of yachts, fishermen and speedboats passing during the day. At low tide, the wooden structures for the muscle industry become visible and one day, tractors and boats were in attendance undertaking maintenance to add a bit of interest. Part of the beach is naturist.

This is a long sandy beach, backed by dunes and pine woods. It has areas where clothing is optional and a gently shelving beach for reasonably safe swimming. Best to take snacks and water as there are few options for obtaining anything at the beach.
