About Au Gre des Vents - Sorties en mer sur vieux greements
From April to October two tall ships, the Mil’Pat and the Tante Fine invite you on board to discover the cliffs of the Alabaster Coast as seen from the sea. Enjoy an unforgettable experience. Hoist up the sails for a 2 hour trip, in the direction of St-Pierre-en- Port or Yport. Another possibility is a mini cruise of 4 hours in the direction of Etretat, its famous cliffs, the landmark of Arsène Lupin. The skipper Astérix will tell you the history of these two former langoustine fishing boats.

A must do when you are in the neighbourhood. About 1,5-2 hours trip with a sailing boat. The 2 man crew is very friendly. You can participate in raising the sails. You have to make a reservation the day before in the tourist office or by telephone also at the tourist office. It costs about 31 euros. There is only place for about 10-15 people.

Captain Asterix and the Tante Fine - what a find. If you have young children then this is the best 15 euro ticket in town (adults 30) for a two hour gentle sail in a converted sail powered old fishing boat. The adults and the children get to help pulling up the sails and the children get to take the wheel and steer the boat. You get an offshore view of the white cliffs and Captain Asterix may cast a line and catch a fish. The flapping of the sails and gentle creaking of the boom and deck are a reminder of a slower pace of life and a great talking point for kids. Captain Asterix explains the history of the boat from fishing days through to its life as a tourist attraction and you get a look below deck. Superb attraction.

We had a wonderful time on the Tante Fine. Captain Asterix and Pierre made us feel really welcome and explained a lot on the 4-hour cruise we took. It was a great experience!

Just had a lovely 90 minute sailing trip on this beautiful, well-maintained wooden sailing boat. We were a group of 16 - including 9 children - and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable time. We all joined in raising and lowering the sails, while the kids could also climb into the nets fore and aft of the boat.
