Very little snow, half of the slopes are closed. Despite c1 we pay the full price package.
Another disappointment, at reception, the girl who receives the customers is very unfriendly, she does not take the time to answer the questions we ask her.
I had a problem with a package taken online and I had to manage on my own to resolve my problem. She made me understand by phone that she didn't have time to take care of me. .
This person should not forget that it is thanks to vacationers that they have a job.
Disappointed with my stay.

First time I've been skiing in 20 years, and had a lovely day at Luz Ardiden. Plenty of easier green and blue runs, and from what I could see, several red and black too, and plenty of advanced skiers whizzed past me. We bought a day pass for the lower runs (€24), and the 4-year-old with us went free. They did ask for proof of his age so may be worth taking some if you're taking little ones. There is a café and a canteen. Food was quite pricey and not amazing, though ok. Altogether a great day in a beautiful location.

Snow not abundant, as can often be the problem in the Pyrenees!
The Ski school staff were exceptionally friendly and very efficient
Only a few lifts and pistes open due to lack of snow.
NOT Alps skiing with the pistes being narrow with at least two slopes everywhere (down and one side to the other!)
Sun disappears at about 1400 so cold in late afternoon.
Restaurant good as is the cafe.
No queues for the lifts !! and passes cheaper than in the alps.
NB Be aware NO SKI HIRE AT THE STATION

This station is good depending on your level of skiing. Not that great for beginners, as very few beginners slopes. Great once you are on the blue slopes, as there are several, some are long with fantastic views.
So good to look at the map of the slopes and compare to your skiing level before deciding on whether to go to this one.

very small ski resort with nice views on the top hill. Easy slops.
Under the storm was a big caos during and the day after because the road was not well clean. The parking is the next disaster. To old resort. I will not go back.

We have just returned from a week's skiing in the Pyrenees, we went with family who had always been to the Alpes for their ski holidays, they were blown away by the beauty of the Pyrenees and particularly Luz Ardiden which became our favourite resort, due to the fantastic snow, friendly people and beautiful situation.

It was quite warm when I was there, but the slopes were well groomed, the staff were all very friendly and the runs were actually very good for a small resort. I would like to go back on a powder day.

Rode from Luz St sauveur to Luz ardiden. Steady climb 7-9% grade. No water or cafes along the way. Nothing at the top. Pavement is good and little traffic. 9 miles about 3100 ft climbing. When we came down we rode up to gavarnie and had lunch. There is a cafe and shop in gavarnie that were open. That made our total trip 42 miles and 5200 feet.

The most fantastic cycling climb to the ski station at Luz Ardiden. Switchback after switchback with magnificent views all the way up of the road below and the Valley de Gaves below.

I don't ski, I cycle and this is a climb I had long wanted to do. Its neither overly long or steep but very scenic. Lots of switchbacks so height is achieved quickly and since it ends at the ski station in summer there is very little traffic on the road.
