Unmissable, it’s the closest thing to Fortnum & Maison in France. The place is stocked to the hills with all manner of food, cookware, table wear, chocolates, teas, coffees. I defy anyone to go inside and not come out with a purchase.

we cannot think saint Vaast la Hougue without Gosselin. A real gourmet institution that will satisfy all your culinary desires. Great wine and spirits cave, by the way. I know some go there just to see it :) but try at least the caramels.

Maison Gosselin is a real must-visit if you're in St Vaast.
The window display is a bonkers mix of quality foods, wines, spirits, umbrellas, kids' toys, kitchen utensils, and much more.
Inside it just gets better as you wander around.
Whatever you do, if you see an entrance to another room or corridor, take it!
Fresh fruit and veg, meats, a wealth of spirits and wines, sauces, chocolate...the list goes on.
Parking is free in St Vaast's streets, and Maison Gosselin is 1min walk from the bustling quay, where fishing boats offload in the afternoon.
(If you like this place, you might like to visit the rather splendid Discworld Emporium in Wincanton, Somerset, England. Much smaller, no food, but even more magical! And a brilliant café over the road. Just thought I'd mention it...)

There are all sorts of things you can find in this shop: from delicatessen to soaps and toys. If you are on holiday this place is a must if you want to feel the atmosphere of rural France. And as it is in all tourist places, it's pricy.

An amazing and charming department store with many rooms, selling an incredibly extensive range of the finest food and drink available. If you are interested in wines and spirits it really is well worth spending half an hour or even an hour perusing.
The shop also sells a range of interesting and tasteful, mainly retro gifts, of course French themed. It is virtually impossible to leave without buying something!

If you visit this town, you must go to this shop. The range of items is never ending and is a smaller version of John Lewis. Every corner is a different experience.

You know from the exterior of this shop that it’s no ordinary grocers but the clever thing is the way that they meld tourist/gift shop with local grocers/green grocers. I have shopped here many times and there are always local people in there, buying their fruit and veg and other groceries as well as tourists indulging in the gift shop experience. This consists of the usual fare- soaps, small toys, home decor items, gadgets to give as presents. It’s probably a bit pricey but it’s worth it for the experience.

We spent an hour and a half wandering around this labyrinth of a store, so much under one roof. Left quite a few euro’s lighter.
Ask to go into the Whisky cave, it is a wonderful sight I have not seen so many whiskies in one place, also a very good collection of gin’s. There is also a separate area where they keep the most expensive wines, like the whisky cave you have to be taken in by a member of staff.
The other items include selections of tea, coffee beans, conserves, household items, chocolate, biscuits, men’s shaving brushes its an Aladdin’s cave.
This is a MUST PLACE to visit if you are in the area.
