The people were very friendly. We had some complimentary Flemish biscuits made one at a time by an old local lady which were fantastic with the legendary Stille Nacht.

We visited as a pre-booked group visit.
Is a small scale operation in old building , proving very interesting.
A large museum area of beer and motoring interest.
A large hospitality suite to accomadate many, fireplace for winter, outdoor area for good weather.
I reccomend a visit by those interested in beer styles.

Mad brewers meets mad beer drinkers!

Brilliant place to stop with some even finer delights to try!

I was lucky enough to find a case of their special Christmas brew which is wonderful!

Highly recommend people to come and try here!

We left Bruges early and headed to Da Dolle. They have a 2 pm tour in English, but we didn't make it. We bought some beer and headed to the back room and the fireplace. We enjoyed the camaraderie. We met SO many awesome people. The beer was mostly a miss, but the side trip was totally worth it.

Great welcome and fantastic beer..visited with some friends from Denmark. .we were staying in bruges so was a bit of a journey to get there, but once there what a place..such an intresting place as the owner isnt just the madter brewer but an artist, the walls acomadate a lot of his work whilst the bar acomadates alot of his beer.fantastic.a friend we were travelling with reckons de dolle make the best beer in the world and of course I thought that's quite a statement to make.but after trying the stille nacht and Dulle Teve I think I have to agree.will hopefully be back in January 2016..it's a must do..

Great tour here by one of the founders. He walked us through the equipment that had been used to make beer for over 100 years in some instances. Much more personal and hands on than some of the other brewery tours we went on in Belgium. Enjoyed some beers post-tour at their bar and outside patio.

I went a little out of my way to visit the De Dolle Brouwers tap room as they make quality beer and are only open on Sunday afternoon's. (2-7pm) It was a busy, colourful & lively place. The beers are excellent, but are mostly dark and on the strong side, 8% and above. They have a table set up in the corner of the bar with a number of gift bottle packs to buy. All in all De Dolle is well worth a visit.

After our previous visit about 8 yrs ago we would have recommended the tour and tasting session to everyone. It was fun, educational and fantastical entertainment by the mother of the 2 owners (brothers). Unfortunately, this lady passed away not too long ago.
Now, the visits are guided by one of the suns/owners, assisted by his wife in the cantine. He is very knowledgeable, but he has by far not the entertainment skills of his mother. It was pretty technical and boring.
But the biggest problem was the far too large group of participants that was allowed to take part in the tour. We were with some 80-90 people. Far too much to understand the explanation in such a large group since there are no auditive aids used. Additionally, there were some locations (cooling cell and upper floor) where we could not even enter the room where the explanaton was given. We left the group (and we were not the only ones) and went straight for the tasting. Explanation about the different beers, given by the lady of the house, was clear and well done. However, when it came to tasting, one had to choose one type of beer and that was it. During our previous visit 8 yrs ago we were really given small quantities of each beer in a tasting glass and while tasting you got the full explanation of each beer.
All in all pretty disappointed from this last visit. Truly hope the owners change the format and no longer allow so many participants.

A very nice little brewery. Friendly people, fancy building and rooms. Excellent beer in different stiles. A old machinery, a real craft beer brewer. The old cellar with beer stored from 1998 on - very impressive.
Don't miss that place!!

We hoped to make the tour in English at 2pm on Sunday, but missed it due to the many traffic diversions on our way. The staff are friendly and they had 2 beers on tap, both at 2.5 € each. They sell bottled beer and a pate containing some beer, we have not tried that yet. The beers are strong though. There is a pleasant garden in which to enjoy the beers.
