stop the covid excuse
Aug 2021
So the Davi yogaretreat at Radadesh this weekend was another lockdown weekend. Not being informed by your organization, that there was nothing open due to 'severe covid'...the covid excuse seems to be very practical.
Due to covid your restaurant is closed, your shop and your bakery is closed. Guests for the retreat only have the 'meal according the program'...
These meals are prepared by the same restaurant that is supposed to be closed due to covid...
Nobody wears masks at the checkin of your guest house, no problem to me, but still you may explain for what reason you are talking of 'severe covid', not giving your guests the service they paid for by closing all restaurants, shops and bakery while you don't ware masks and let the restaurant prepare meals for 'the guests of the retreat' but not for the public?
Even a drink was not allowed, we only could stay in a well paid room but could not order anything to eat or to drink...for a whole weekend!.
Instead of a holiday, this was a real nightmare, a little lockdown where we are paying for...never again.
We are not supposed to take the xxxth covid excuse. I also want to mention that in Belgium all restaurants and shops are OPEN. And if you are expecting guests while deciding to close all your services, we have the right to be informed in advance (email? tel?). Maybe it should have been better to cancel the retreat, when the full service wasn't possible. Another customer gone!

Quite interesting place
Jul 2020
We really enjoyed the visit , especially the guide tour. The English guide was very good and made the visit worthwhile. We also enjoyed and Indian dance, the young man danced very well . The temple is great , colourful and a place of tranquillity.
The park is well maintained and a lovely place to go for a walk.
The view from the top of the tower is breathtaking ! Mind you there are a few steep steps to get up there but it is worthwhile.
The cafeteria was not too good. Arrived at 3pm and almost nothing left to eat. No choice at all, we ate a small Indian meal which was ok.
As a whole I would recommend the Chateau , you can spend a couple of hours there.

We're glad you enjoyed the tour of the castle. We're sorry you didn't have a good experience in the cafeteria. Given the measures to follow in connection with COVID19, they mainly work there with reservations.

Tranquility and Krishna

Visit to the Krishna Temple at the Chateau is a beautiful experience. The place is nestled on hillocks and with vast green fields surrounding it , there is natural calmness about the place . Add to it, Castle's tour and Museum of Sacred Art and Bhaktivedanta library you have plenty to take away. Go there and have a wonderful time.

A bit of India in the Ardennes
Jul 2019 • Family
Having been to India recently visiting the castle of the Hare Krishna in Durbuy felt a bit like being back in India. The temple is beautiful and peaceful, there's also a bakery, a restaurant and a shop. There's a playground for kids too.
