Private Tour - The Battle of the Bulge from Brussels

Exploring Brussels and the Belgian cities of art on your own is fabulous, no doubt about it. But private, customized tours offer ease, efficiency, and insight that you might otherwise miss.

Below you find the standard itinerary of our tour. As a guest on a private tour you can ask us to personalize your route in order to hit those city highlights which are of keen interest to you.

This is a tour for history buffs! 1944: the western front was collapsing! The Battle of the Bulge was the last major Nazi offensive. Hitler hoped to split the American, British and Canadian forces by launching his last surprise attack through the forests of Luxembourg and the Ardennes. After a visit to the Memorial and Bastogne museum the tour takes you out to the foxholes and,to the monument for ‘Band of Brothers’. Before we wind up in the City of Luxembourg we call at General Patton’s tomb.

This place is reminding, in a more humble way, of Stonehenge. It's a funeral place and the atmosphere is very inspiring and respectful. I really recommend ti go ad visit it, (family or couple). Big groups would chase this atmosphere.

It's a great area for nature walks and the dolmen is a perfect place to sit and relax or have a picnic even. After a small breather you can continue your way and discover the other menhirs and dolmens in the area.

This place is just beautiful. There are 3 different turs you can take. There walking tours and some are up hill, and with pretty long walks thru farmslands / foresty area. But when you get to an dolmen or megaliet it's worth it. My recommend is to go there when you have an feeling for this or like long walks. When yu don't have anything with these dolmnlen, nature, walks, and so on. I don't think you think it would be worth it.

This place is simply not possible in other countries: no entrance fee, no guard, plane nature, silence all around, you can feel the place, I love it. I often go there all alone, destress garanteed. You do have to visit the small village of Weris, the small prehistoric museum, the little roman church. It is all so beautifull and authentic. I am really proud this is in my region! If you want more prehistoric monuments, there are Menhirs all over the region, descriptions at the tourist offices of Weris or Durbuy.
