New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in...

New Kent Winery offers exceptional wines in a unique setting. Completed in 2008, the winery is mainly constructed of reclaimed historic building materials such as pre-Civil War brick, 40-foot heart pine beams from the 1850's, and century-old railroad trusses. Along with wine tasting, New Kent Winery offers tours of the building that tell of the history of the building materials as well as our winemaking process.

Having planted the first vines in 2001, New Kent Winery features award-winning fine wines, including Chardonnay, Meritage and White Merlot. Following a tour and tasting, guests are invited to relax and take in the scenery of beautiful New Kent Vineyards on one of the expansive covered lounging porches. The winery also offers gifts, wine accessories, clothing and other items in our gift shop.

New Kent Winery is also an ideal location to host any number of private events, from weddings and receptions to wine dinners and corporate functions.

Located just off I-64, exit 211, between Richmond and Williamsburg.

After expending a substantial amount of funds at a silent auction of a charity for abused and neglected children, I misplaced the certificate. When located, I contacted the Winery to explain the situation and could the certificate for a wine tasting for two be honored although expired about 6 months. I was first told no, they make no exceptions. I... More

Virginia wines are a dime a dozen. New Kent rises above the mediocre and offers some exceptional wines in a relaxing, picturesque location. Winery offers cheese, meats and bread plates in the $8 range. Most wines are in the $20 range.

This winery is near my brother's house, so he took us there for a tasting. It is a beautiful facility and offers patios for picnicking. They have cheese plates and other appetizers for sale, so you can grab a bottle of wine and sit outside. We did the tasting ($10.00 each). It was a relaxed and pleasant experience. We were... More

We did the tasting and as someone who doesn't drink wine it was enjoyable. The location is so beautiful. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and delicious cheese ball on the porch after the tasting and it was such a nice experience. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Great place! Beautiful view. Friendly, knowledgeable, excellent wines. Not too far from Colonial Williamsburg. Worth a 40 minute drive.

Played golf next door to the winery and stopped in afterward. It was hard to leave. Great wine and snacks. They have a porch to relax on, inside is large and spacious and then there's the back deck 😘 Go and visit. You'll love it.

Visited yesterday for tasting. They have quite a variety ESP red & rose. Didn't care for any of the true whites. Had a glass after on the deck enjoying the countryside. Very peaceful & beautiful on a spring day.

Tasting room is beautiful. Wines are a little pricy but of good quality. We did get to keep the glass...based on other reviews I'm confused if we weren't supposed to take it though. Patio is large and there is plenty of seating between the patio, inside, and two large porches on both sides of the building.

This winery used to be one of my favorites near the Williamsburg area. Probably not anymore. Hidden costs that the consumer is not told about ahead of time. Tip is added additionally to your tasting fee and not notified of this prior to paying. You also cannot keep the glass which is unbelievable, when every other winery in the area... More

Really out in the country, expected, but easy access to Interstate 64. Go to their website, they have many events on weekends, food trucks and winery tours.
