I briefly rested here during my walk around Granada. Taking photos of my surroundings, I noted the cathedral near by, statues, vendors selling their wares, horses and their carriages, colonial buildings, Christmas decorations, etc. I enjoyed my rest here.

Beautiful park with multicolored buildings . Horse carriage rides available and many booths with trinkets. Fun to stroll and enjoy the culture.

It’s pleasant to sit down in the heat and rest a bit.
Cathedral, shops, caffeteria, souvenirs and horse riders are all there. Market is just round the corner.

The square is a place to sit and watch the comings and going to the local Nica families. there are street food vendors around the edge of the park offering all sorts of different fare.and there are permanent "restaurants on three corners. There are concerts on certain days and usually there is music playing. one of the things I liked was the fact that the park has it's own free Wi-Fi. Enjoy!

As in all towns in Nicaragua, the main square is a nice park with a gazebo, lots of birds, bars selling cold drinks, snacks and guys selling mp3 cds of Nicaraguan music. Try tiste and cacao, buy a cd (the music is trashy but so much fun!) and if you meet the lady selling her wood paintings of parrots and toucans, buy one of those too.

Very nice piazza to walk through to look at wares. I would not recommend spending too much time here unless you like being bothered by salesman.

This park is nicely adorned with plenty of seating and shade to get out of the heat. The park overlooks the beautiful Catedral de Granada and is also surrounded by pretty Spanish colonial style buildings. There are a number of eateries in the park where you can try the local dish, 'vigoron", as well as street stalls that sell other bits and pieces. You can get horse and carriage rides here as well and there are a lot of vendors selling tours to nearby attractions. A must visit when in Grenada.

Nice little Central Park filled with lots of vendors. Horse and carriage rides available. Few little kiosks to buy food. Incredible architecture all around

This was a lovely park to walk through or sit over on our hotel balcony. Great photo opp. The horse carriage guys are a little pushy for me, so we tried our best to avoid them, since we didn't want a ride.
