Interesting Museum

Interesting museum with lots of dioramas of history. Pretty cool to visit. Was affordable. Had interesting collection of pottery and stone statues found on a near by island!

The cathedral and convent with museum are part of one rather compact complex. Where there are no buildings the place is surrounded by a wall. Perhaps the reason for this was that the structure dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Granada often was under attack from pirates. The facade of the cathedral is bright white, the other... More

Great and newly renovated museum that's worth stopping into for an hour. Beautiful exterior located in the heart of old town Granada.

Cathedral San Francisco has an interesting museum, with nice artefacts displayed in rooms around sunlit patios.

Next to the museum is the San Francisco church. In fact, the building wall is connected from the museum, this church is one amongst many that is ancient and built in 1529, one of the oldest churches still standing. Our guide pointed out some special meanings to the building elements such as the 14 steps, the 12 columns, 4 pillars,... More

It is just the best museum in town, give you a great explanation in both languages English and Spanish about all of the pre columbians, regular life, folclore, Primitivis art, Religious demonstration, etc.

Don't necessarily come for the exhibits, just come for the space. A great example of how a renovation of a dilapidated ruin can breathe new life into a building. It's truly lovely inside with striking colours and strikingly posed exhibits. It only costs $5 to visit (C150) and it's worth far more than that paltry amount. Frustratingly, you can't visit... Lovely local icon and a must see. Reminds you of a similar place in Florence Italy - sit on the terrace at Kathy's Waffle House and enjoy the view here with breakfast or brunch or sit on the terrace at Hacienda with drinks or dinner. People watch too!
