On my opinion,it's not worth what they ask for the things.
But, they sell stuff from recycled materials - that's cool!!!

thanks for your very descriptive opinion and your one star, but unfortunely some people just don´t see the time they spend making this products totally handmade, yeah you say not worth it, but they leave their hearts in the process. thanks anyway

As my rating says, it's average.
I went intentionally looking for this store. It is the entry to a hostel. Just about everything there is something you can find from any of the street venders just about anywhere in Latin America. The quality seemed average to good. After looking for over a half hour, I couldn't find anything to buy that was different or distinctive enough to make room for in my pack.

absolutely not, and you should get some glasses next time, our main goal since the beginning is to make unique pieces not everything they have at the street, or anywhere in Latin America like you say, please, what´s your point on talking only negative things about us, these decent people, we are social project supporting enviroment with recycling workshops and you? who are you? propably you´re working for WalMart or Donald Trump, no surprised at all stop attacking us and keep buying your products handmade in China.

The best gift shop in all of Granada

Artisans from thoughout Nicaragua sell in this very cool shop.. The items are very inexpensive, but also very unique. The staff are very knowedgeable and many times are doing their craft making in the shop. The items range from pottery to jewelry to really unique bags made out of 45rpm records. This is the place to go for some fun items at terrific prices.

Nice shop not that far away from the the Central Park. They had a lot of different things such clothes and jewelry. All in a bit different design what you normally will see in Nicaragua. Good service in the shop.

I loved the shop and bought a few items of jewelry and clothing, which were lovely and unique. While shopping, I learned that they shipped packages. Their rates were slightly higher than the post office, but they were open on the weekends and until 9:00 pm on most nights. A few days later we brought in some items to be shipped home, as we were traveling on for another week. The shop packed up the items for us, so we didn't have to find a box and packing materials. Once we arrived home, we waited a few weeks before emailing Cesar about the package, which had not arrived. He informed me that the cacao we had purchased had been confiscated by the post master, and he had attempted to contact us the day after we were there (his emails had gone to my spam folder). He didn't want to mail the box without the cacao before checking with me. He promptly shipped the remaining items, including some pottery. It arrived in Florida about 10 days later in perfect condition. Cesar was genuinely helpful and was very active in making sure that I received my package.

All I can say is that I'm very very happy I didn't listen to the two reviews below when i was researching local attractions in the Granada area!...I do use Tripadvisor a lot and have done for many years...but I luckily have learnt to take the odd bad review with a pinch of salt when all the others are majority excellent!! I visited this gift shop yesterday after having a wander around this beautiful colonial city (also was told it was brilliant for unusual gifts by a fellow traveller in a cyber cafe I was in!) and what a lovely warm welcome I was greeted with :) Caesar was busy making jewellery, but was right there if you needed any help or information! He explained to me all about the Cooperativa and the wonderful work he and his team are doing to support not only local artisans trying to make a living...but also teaching artistic skills to local young women to help them help support themselves and their families, as well as learning many different skills along the way!! The shop has many very unusual and unique products and the prices were very reasonable! I am a real magpie and fell in love with lots of the beautiful pendants :) I was able to buy presents for my whole family...and the lovely Caesar even gave me a beautiful little tigers eye bracelet that he had just made as a little present :) I love it and just so thoughtful! Such a kind gesture just reflected the kindness and generosity that I have had thrown up on me over such a short period of time in this beautiful country by beautiful people!!..I will be going back to see my new friends soon and highly recommend you to drop by for a visit...even just if you want to meet lovely interesting people or need some advice on Granada generally :)

In most "artisan" shops in Nicaragua you will find the same exact items you can find in any local market. If you want to see items made in Nicaragua by real Nicaraguan artisans this is the place to go. Reasonable prices and items you can't find anywhere else, not to mention excellent customer service. Do not miss this place or you will regret it.
