Follow up to bad review

So in my previous review, I mentioned that I had purchased several items last January and as of September 2012, I had not received them. I am happy to report that after 9 months... read more

This gallery is a SCAM! Silvio Ubago, the Nico gallery owner with the American roots (probably another lie) sold me a painting for at least 3x the street price, and charged me for shipping after saying it was free. At that point I had paid cash for the art and had no choice but to pay for shipping as well.... More

A beautiful open garden space on the inside with thousands of paintings, ceramics and sculpture. Prices are not as cheap as street vendors, but this is a low pressure place to browse and really look at things you might want to buy. The owner, who is a fluent English speaker, explained how they will help with packing your treasures for... More

I´ve been buying wonderful wooden bowls from this gallery and have taken friends there who came to visit me in Nicaragua and they went for smaller ceramic items in order to take them back to Germany with them and really enjoyed their experience in the gallery as well. The owner Silvio is very friendly, helpful and dedicated. I can´t comment... More

I have read all of the reviews about the Gallery and although some seem very negative that was not my experience. we bought some small paintings and ceramics. The owner asked what we were doing in Nicaragua and I told him I was working with a school where the kids come from extremely impoverished backgrounds. WE had bought them school... More

This gallery had a very large variety of paintings of all sizes--I wish I had had more time to look through them all. There are also a lot of ceramics. We purchased a mahogany bowl that is very unusual and is a beautiful reminder of our trip to Nicaragua. The prices seemed reasonable (realize that it is ok to bargain... More

We had a great experience with Gallery Ubago. My husband and I like to bring home a piece of art from our travels. We picked out 2 large canvas paintings of the Granada doors. He gave us a killer price. We had a visitor come to Granada so we brought them over to the gallery. She got an awesome price... More

We are a British couple and had a wonderful experience of the Ubago gallery having purchased a variety of interesting Nicaraguan art. Owner Silvio went of of his way to ensure we had brilliant service - commissioning a couple of tailor made pieces, throwing in a ceramic pig for our children and even arranging babysitting and painting for our 2... So in my previous review, I mentioned that I had purchased several items last January and as of September 2012, I had not received them. I am happy to report that after 9 months, the beautiful vase that I purchased for my sister did arrive, intact. I would add to the previous suggestion that if you purchase any items @... More

This operation is a SCAM. If you have paid cash and your goods are being ''shipped'' you most likely have lost whatever you have paid. Happened to me 1000 USD+ ... Silvio Ubago is a pathological liar, be warned....
