Came here today after a hard days work with 17 guys. What a great time. The manager, I forget our name but she took special care of us. We were shown the place and the whole cigar process. Some made their cigars, we smoked, we drank rich black coffee and had a great time celebrating Nicaragua. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE!!!!

I visited Doña Elba 18 years ago. Since I could not find any Nicaraguan premium cigars in Granada, I bought box of 20 Doña Elba torpedo cigars (I will not name their "brand" names as this is irrelevant). I tried a couple of them and gave a couple of these to my friends. This was waste of money as cigars were very low quality - tasting horribly.
Today, 18 years later, I am in Nicaragua for the second visit. I arrived on Sunday and Doña Elba factory was opened, so I went, hoping that they improved their quality over the last 18 years. This time I bought only four cigars, different kinds and shapes with different labels but all made by Doña Elba factory. They charged me $5 a piece - I think this is their price regardless of the vitola (model) of a cigar. I lit up one of them and it was equally terrible as those that I bough 18 years ago. Since they were only a cigar factory in Granada then and no other place was selling truly premium Nicaraguan cigars (all made in Estelí located 170 kms from Granada), they could get away with it.

We thought we were visiting to see how handmade cigars are produced. What we got was an opportunity to not only try the cigars, but make our own (for $7). It was a great experience and reinforced the skill that these artisans truly have. A major highlight of Granada.

Very authentic Nicaragua cigar making experience. Good quality homemade products. We tasted different cigars they make with a shot of Flor de Cana rum; they go very well together.

Visited to witness the rolling. We were told by frequent visitors that the prices are no better than stateside it at the hotel bar and they were correct. It is a fun way to spend 30 minutes watching the process. It is a close walk from city center. Worth a visit

if you are looking to buy some "our father" or other good brand of local cigars, this is a good and reputable place to do it. the prices are local and not inflated tourist prices, much cheaper than the airport or other tourist trap stores.

We had a great time at Don Elba Cigars. Fun to see how cigars are made and you can try one. The owner is extremely friendly and takes the time to explain you the process. I recommend to go there!

Nothing says family fun like making your own cigar! We had a great time observing the process and then trying it ourselves ($7 per person) under the guidance of two very friendly employees. The shop is interesting and there is a nice variety of cigars and boxes to purchase. They even sell chocolate.

This was one of the nightlights of my visit the the beautiful city of Granada. Took a free walking tour and made and made my own Cigar. The owner and its employees were really helpful and friendly and completely made my day! Thanks so much for the kindness and the amazing job running the cigar factory!
