Awesome hotel
May 2016 • Family
I was very satisfied with the staff of the hotel. Very friendly, and accommodated to my needs and request with no hesitation from the staff. The rooms are comfortable and very unique. The pool is open 24/7 the breakfast is great. Especially if you are willing to try the typical breakfast foods of Nicaragua. Marcos is awesome with the full body massages.. love the layout of it. The only thing I did not like that the parking was about 2 blocks away from the hotel because parking is not allowed overnight in front of the hotel

Very relaxing, lovely treatments, nice pool area
May 2015
I booked a mini/pedi/facial for $30, which took 1.5 hours in total. The rest of the day I relaxed by the pool. Towel was included. The food at the bar wasn't great, not a big variety of drinks in the fridge. But they have the basics to get you through a day without leaving the hotel. The treatments were great, no pain and no complaints, nice ladies, very relaxing. The building is just fantastic. The pool area and lounge chairs need a bit of attention and some updating/repairs. Oh, and bring bugspray! That lovely greenery comes at a price...

Great Facial followed by Sunset Yoga…simply amazing!
Apr 2015 • Solo
I booked an hour facial session with Judith, who was really lovely and gentle, and was able to hang out in the pool before heading to a sunset yoga class on the terrace! There was nothing better to beat the heat….the humidity and heat are building. I decided to try the yoga class and found a hidden gem! The view was stunning, the breeze was pleasantly surprising, the birds were singing and the instructor was very friendly and helpful. Towards the end, we were able to watch the stars come out!

Definitely recommend speeding some time here!

Pay to swim with the Ducks
Mar 2015 • Family
Nice place to beat the heat if you like swimming in a duckspond. The local ducks can be aggressive and think they own the pool. Happy the hotel had showers to clean off cuz the water is far from clean. It could really use some new cobbestone and tile around the pool. There are random rocks stickingout that are a major tripping hazard. On the plus side Beers are cheap and the guacamole is good.

Chocolate "therapy"? Skip it!
The worst joke ever! You pay 34$ for 1 hour of chocolate therapy including a light massage. In total I had maybe 20 minutes of "therapy" being covered in chocolate from head to toe and exfoliated a bit with sugar - wouldn't call any of it a massage. Then I had to "dry" for 10 minutes before I was sent to take shower. Not worth the money! Especially when then don't even make the effort to do a full hour of treatment.

SKIP THE MASSAGE!!! GO for the Pool!
Dec 2014 • Couples
My husband and I both had individual massages here. He said his was terrible, and even bordering on inappropriate since she moved her hands WAY too close to his private parts.

Mine was also awful! She cracked my neck 3 times, which is definitely not allowed as a massage therapist and my neck hurt for weeks. I asked her to work on my back some more and she did only one extra minute before moving on. The stretching was not relaxing!

At the end, she ended early and answered a phone call on the way out of the room, and was still on the phone when I came out, just waiting for her tip.

I wish I could have gotten a refund! Horrible massages BUT the pool is GREAT~

An experience... Must try the Choco massage
Jan 2015 • Friends
Visited the day spa and Choco Museum and opted for a chocolate massage, there wasn't much massaging involved but you are covered head to toe in chocolate and the exfoliated with sugar. Make sure you have a few tasters during the treatment (and ask for a lady to do the treatment as my friend bad a man and it was a bit awkward as you are completely starkers).
Great experience - smelt lovely, tasted great and my skin was super soft afterwards.
Other treatments available, and day access to the pool with any over $10

Terrible Massage
Jan 2015 • Solo
Today I had the worst massage of my life. When I walked in I was greeted by a man with slightly tinted sunglasses and a walking stick so I am assuming he was blind but not completely convinced due to some odd towel draping issues. Perhaps one of the problems was that instead of being given a sheet to cover up with I was given a towel and I am nearly six feet tall so that only covers half my body. His pressure was extremely rough and quick so it was not at all relaxing and not very thorough. Then he insisted I take my underwear off. With the Spanish language barrier interfering a bit I just took them off. He then proceeded to contort my body and stretch it in a variety of positions always moving the towel so my entire body was left uncovered and the towel was only over the lower leg. I am very flexible but he was taking it way beyond my limits and I kept trying to resist and push against him so he would stop. He then dragged the towel roughly over every inch of my body to wipe off any lotion and beat my body with pounding and smacking. The entire massage I was just thinking how awful the whole experience was. I kept trying to relax and make the best of it but the best part was when he said he was done! It's my first massage in Nicaragua and now I don't even want to try any place else if this is any indication of the massage style and professionalism they offer. I also had a chocolate milkshake at the bar and wouldn't recommend that either...

Awkward
Mar 2014 • Solo
If you get the chocotherapy you have to walk through the public pool area to a shower to wash the scrub off. It was very awkward, and the shower didn't have any soap so it was difficult to get the scrub off.
