Just minutes from Granada you can rent a boat and visit these beautiful islands. It's a great place for watching the sunset.

We took a boat tour through the Isletas. Very beautiful! We went near the end of the day so we were able to enjoy the gorgeous sunset on Lake Nicaragua. The Isletas are definitely worth checking out while in Granada. We didn't stop at any...More

We wanted to do it on our own, but after getting down to the lake and being offered a boat ride by a drunk guy, we went back and bought a tour for a fair price with nahualtours.com - highly recomended - one of the...More

We took a boat or yup the isletas and ate at one of the island restaurants. So beautiful. Have "Carmen" take you out to the boat on her horse and buggy from Parque Central for about $15U.S..

I recommend the boat tour of the Las Isletas, a nice break to view birds and other wildlife. It is a much cooler experience than wandering through the city. The tour can include lunch or a snack at a restaurant and feeding monkeys.

You should be able to negotiate a tour of any length. The guides seem more than happy to make a little more money.

You bring US. You can change your money at the bank or exchange from street corner vendors, they're pretty much at the same rate as banks. ATM's will give out one or the other, local or US.
