A boat tour round the little islands that were formed from the Monbacho volcano eruption. Some of the islands are big enough for houses, these were bought up by the wealthy who built thier retreats on them. There are some interesting sights but overall a...More

Nice boat-trip, where we got to see many birds during our 3 hour trip among the isletas. Fun to see the islands and the houses built there in Mare Dulce. Monkey island was fun for the kids in particular. Our guide had brought some advocados...More

Spent half day at Islets of Granada. This is a trip well worth taking. From Granada a short ride to pier and then you start your boat trip through Islets of which there are 365. First stop was a Spanish fort built to protect Granada...More

Spent a day relaxing and swimming on one of las isletas. Cute smaller iuslands developed as retreats for some and homes for others. Nice place to swim although they lack the good beaches of say Ometepe. Water also didn't seem the cleanest but the islands...More

I did a $16 tour that was great. The guide was excellent. I speak Spanish so can't judge the English. We stopped at an island restaurant had spent time with the locals. Food was very good.

You should be able to negotiate a tour of any length. The guides seem more than happy to make a little more money.

You bring US. You can change your money at the bank or exchange from street corner vendors, they're pretty much at the same rate as banks. ATM's will give out one or the other, local or US.

The guides will help you in and out of the boat but they are pretty steep. There aren't many of them though, maybe ten steps or so on each isleta. It wasn't a physical excursion at all.
