Yesterday morning we went on a two hour trip in the islets of Granada. It was fabulous. Vladimir was very knowledgeable about the area and about birds. He drove slowly and pointed out many species. He even found some tiny bats. He made the trip memorable.

Lovely boattour. You can see many things. Birds, monkeys, beautiful trees. Nice trip. Noticable difference between the poor and ritches of Nicaragua

No trip to Granada is complete without a visit to Las Isletas. You will see a cornucopia of bird species, including ospreys, vultures and kingfishers, as well as howler monkeys. Don't join the idle masses and take a motor boat but jump in a kayak and close to the action. You won't regret and you may even feel good you... More

This is a very convenient and inexpensive trip to the Isles on Lake Nicaragua. There are some great views and it's totally worth the time. It is not overly time consuming or tiring so you can still have energy to do some things before and after. I have done this 2 times and liked it both times

We took a 2 1/2 hour tour of the Islets of Granada. We opted for the boat tour that came with lunch. The tour included an English speaking guide who gave us the history of the islands, a stop at monkey island where the monkey (Lucy) came right on the boat! The tour also stops at Pirate Island where you... More

We spent a great week in Granada, and our favorite outing was the Isletas tour with Martin McNally and his double decker pontoon boat. Martin picked us up in his bus, and we drove to where the boat was moored. Fabulous time on the water, met some great people. Loved watching everyone using the slide off the back of the... More
