We ended up with a few extra days and felt like we were touristed out - and it was raining. So, signed up for a two hour beginner session, each of us with a private teacher. We were able to get exactly the education we needed. The director is wonderful.

The teacher in the school are amazing not only will you learn the theory here but also how to use it in the practical sense. The school arranges fun excursions and the teachers have a lot of knowledge about the history of the country and the cultural aspects. I took classes here for 2 weeks, after which I had to... More

Took me so long to learn how to pronounce such a simple word. I don't know what to compare this too. Angelica is a super friendly woman. So we're all the other staff. My teacher was Bismarck. I participated in the afternoon cooking class and really enjoyed it. They all made learning fun.

This was arranged for me by the organization with whom I work. We had a small group guided tour, choosing Masaya and Laguna de Apoyo for the day. Being a Spanish school, the guide spoke only Spanish, but dumbed down beautifully for Americans trying to learn the language. Very clearly spoken, such that I spent all day speaking and understanding... More

Everything was arranged perfectly. I did a week of language course with homestay for $250. You can arrange a shuttle as well from Managua airport to Granada, which I did. Andy will then pick you up from the airport. The homestay family was really nice and was constantly making sure that I was doing fine. As for the teacher, I... More

The school was excellent, and Elisa was an excellent teacher - patient and clever in maintaining my interest, and in imparting her knowledge.

I needed to brush up on my spanish. After visiting four schools in Granada, I chose Spanish School Xpress and did not regret it a bit. I really appreciated the way they greeted me, their flexibility and the fact that they are Nicaraguayan owned . The courses are one on one and the two teachers I had the opportunity to... More

This school provided me with my first experience of learning Spanish in Nicaragua, and also with my first experiences in terms of culture and politics. I have returned to Nicaragua several times since, and have to thank the school for a great introduction which made me want to know more about what this country has to offer ...

I studied here for a week in September 2009; while my teacher was OK, I felt that the school was simply trying to make a large profit from its students living us with the impression that the school was raking in a great deal as middleman -- for the homestay, activities, transportation, and tuition -- and we did not have...
