We really enjoyed wondering around the streets of Granada, and also loved this beautiful reconstructed church. It was burned down by the American forces way back when, and did a great job with it!

A must see when visiting Granada. Free to enter and just as beautiful inside as outside. Incredible woodwork on the ceiling

This is a yellow colored cathedral. You can walk here from La Merced church in 5 minutes and not too far from the Central Park. We found the doors to be closed when we arrived.

The best church in Granada, take your time to enjoy the details! We been there during a ceremony, the pictures do not do justice. You can walk here from the Plaza Central.

I stopped here quickly on a tour on the city. When I was there they were getting ready for Easter celebrations

another quirky old building in Granada, worth a visit, good street food outside in the evenings, too. Sadly Granada is a ghost town since the problems started in spring 18.

The Iglesia de Xalteva is beautiful inside and out, but it is the interior that will leave you breathless. The deep wood of the ceiling, columns, and pews contrast with the striking paintings on the ceiling and the otherwise muted colors of the interior. Take the time to take all of the details in. It’s worth it.

A lovely church with beautifully decorated ceilings. We went up the bell tower for wonderful views across the city at a cost of $1. A bit of a precarious feeling as you step outside the window, wouldn't be allowed back home. We did this as part of a horse and carriage ride, free stop offs, get on and off visiting some lovely places as you are around Granada city.

This church was just down the road from where we were staying so we strolled down to take a look and weren't disappointed. It's a very pretty church.
