We were book on Sea Hunter but went on the Mr Khai tour instead. The food on board is not great. Rice + 1 chicken wing + 1 soup stuff that they put on your rice. It is a big boat. It is quite sturdy. For someone who gets sea sick easily, I was surprised I felt good. We went on a 3 island tour from 10 am - 3 pm. The fish variety is not great. Not sure it is because we were there in October which is off peak season. Water is clear. The corals formation is not bad. They give you an hour each at the site which is more than enough as the variety is not that great. We see alot of sergent fish.

If your are a serious angler you’ll be very disappointed. They have only one fishing ground which is about half hour from the pier. Anchored and that’s it until going back to pier. They cater mainly for tourists and family recreation and nothing more.

Only small fish and no deep bottom fishing or trolling. I would not recommend this if you want serious fishing. It might be fun for a family with kids, but that’s it.

There are lots of similar boat trips to choose from on Ko Chang, we chose this company because it was a slightly shorter day (0930 pick up and 1530 arrive back at Bang Bao). For about 2000 baht we had a full day and visited 4 different islands around Ko Chang. We were picked up from our hotel, right on time and dropped off with no dramas and for no extra fee. The day was broken up into bite sized chunks with maybe 30mins sailing and then 30-40mins at each location either snorkelling or chilling on an idyllic beach. There was easily enough room for everyone to have a seat and move around the double decker boat and there was sufficient shade. Everyone was offered a life jacket and some chose to wear one whilst snorkelling- this was fine. Snorkels and masks were provided for no extra charge. The snorkelling sites were ok - my little boy loved seeing the fish and coral but for anyone that has snorkelled / dived anywhere previously, this will likely be a bit of a disappointment in terms of variety and quantity of flora and fauna. The staff were super friendly and engaging and spoke some English (much more than my Thai!). I was I totally dubious about the lunch, but it was actually really good quality and quantity: rice with stir fried meat and veg (separate) with fruit. Water was provided throughout. Be aware, this is not an accessible boat. Getting on and off the boat to the dock involved a very wobbly gangplank whilst ducking through a gap on to the lower deck - very young kids could be lifted but older people or those with certain disabilities would really find it very taxing. Once on board, you could stay on the bottom deck but the stairs to the top deck were very steep. None of this was a problem for us and we enjoyed the scramble! But just one to be aware of if you have restricted movement. If you’re travelling alone, make sure you’re not last in the water....they didn’t count people off / on and a party had to stop the boat from departing after one of their group was ‘mask-down’ and unaware that everyone was back on board. In summary, a good day trip that my family really enjoyed but expect a robust approach to the activity and take any mobility issues into consideration before booking.

WARNING! Be careful with this company "Sea Hunter" ... They sell tours but do not pick you up. I was told they did not have full boat, so then they "forgot about"me... No problem tomorrow, they said. If you plan your journey and want to be able to trust your trip provider, choose another company!!!
