If you are looking for an unspoilt paradise, this is the place to visit! Beautiful beach with lots of restaurants which serve the most delicious food. Lay on the the sunbeds and getting served right there. Massage on the beach is the best I ever had. We stayed in a newly built bungalows, the Tree House Bungalows. The people is so nice, I just cannot get over the hospitality we received.

This is the only beach I visited on the island. I had a chance to go elsewhere, but if it aint broke...

We bought vouchers for 100baht at one of the resorts, which allowed us to use their beach area and chairs... the 100baht could also all b used to buy drinks or food at the resort.

Beach was not too crowded, it was clean, with several food/drink options. Deep enough to swim. There is a small reef off the shore with a few fish (not worthwhile for snorkeling alone, but makes for an enjoyable diversion).

We stayed at Bangbao pier and walked 20min to the beach... an easy walk down the main road (perhaps not for young kids tho). If I go back, Im going to try to book a beachside cottage on this beach.

This smaller and narrow beach on the quiet side of Bang Bao has it all! It is in walking distance from the center of Bang Bao and it does not have all the party-places, drunk people and big resorts or hotels that is on the other side, on Lonely Beach ect. It has small guesthouses with restaurants and massage-stands, and we fell completely in love with the second place called The Beach Club <3 The staff are absolutely lovely and it was sad to say good bye our last day.

On my second visit to Koh Chang the Khlong Koi beach was yet again my favorite. Sure White Sands is nearest to the Pier, Sure Lonely beach is packed with youngsters and some nice bars and restaurants but boy, Khlong Koi beach is an oasis of quietness, beautiful views and relaxation.

The beach is at the bottom of the island, as we always stay with friends at Bailan its just a 10 minute drive away but for people residing anywhere north of that up to White Sands, it can be quite a distance, but its worth it every minute. Some nice new bars have developed over the past years, free sunbeds, cheap massages and great food and drinks. We stayed in the low season this time so it was nice and quiet, water temperature is amazing and besides a small strip of rocks it's nothing but sand and sun!

lovely quiet beach ideal for backpackers and families with small children. Santisook bungalows and restaurant is a good example for a wonderful stay ! after a loving welcome, you can relax in your hammock at the bungalow in the beautiful garden , or fine dining in the cozy restaurant with delicious food from thai and european cuisine .

We've not riden scooters much so wanted a nice slow ride out to get us used to it. We travelled from Lonely Beach, easy and carefully and found Klong Kloy Beach in about 45 minutes, stopping to see the fisherman village on the way.

You'll need to turn right at the large wooden over road sign and follow the dirt track road for 10 mins before you get there but it is worth the wait. A lovely long quiet beach with friendly locals and a nice peaceful sea breeze. The water isn't quite as good as Lonely for me but still, no matter.

If you don't turn right, you'll end up at the resort built on an old ship, which will cost you 50B to get in, we didn't bother but, apparently it is worth it and, their private beach (all Thai beaches are owned by the King) is pretty good looking, we saw it from the sea.

Anyway, Klong Kloy, it is worth it, even if just to get away for a bit and shoot the breeze on your ride... :-)

This beach is not overcrowded and clean. The view is scenic and the ambiance is quiet without laud music. There are some nice eateries in the beginning of the beach. This is my favorite beach for relaxing.
If you arrive on a scooter, you must not park it on the road. There are some pretty nasty and agressive monkeys there that have done much demage on many scooters there. The parking on the nearest restaurant is cheap and safe.

Either rent a scooter at your guesthouse or pay for a taxi. Its worth it. Stay at the first resort on the right hand site. They offer nice beach chairs and very comfortable "beach loungers". Good drinks friendly people and and very nice massages as well. The beach is not overcrowded wich is wonderful for relaxing!

for me best beach in Koh Chang. Accomodation from basic to luxury. Nice massages on the beach. Very good for a day trip, enjoy the beach bars there. But perfect for long stay in a basic resort; it's like Thailand 20 years ago. Good food available and nice beach bars. Go there after 9 pm and you will experience thai bar life. My special: Mr. T's bar

And therefore I would recommend White Sand Beach or even better Khlong Prao beach.

Besides these 2 other beaches are much longer.
So if you like to jog at sunrise they are a much better choice and offer more.

Still the main reason is the glorious sunsets: just look at my reviews of Khlong Prao where I have attached many photos of sunsets and you'll understand.
