About
Slow Life Cycling is a personal and safe Koh Chang bicycle tour. Traveling by bicycle is an ideal way to explore Koh Chang as it's slow enough to see the details and fast enough to see them all. Our trip philosophy will be focusing on "living like a local" by riding through local areas to see culture and experience the way of local living with fascinating scenery surrounding you. With our tour, you will be escorted by a local friendly tour guide who is happy to show you another perspective of Koh Chang. You can also stop at any place while riding for as long as you want; we won't hurry you as we are in a society with a slow-paced lifestyle If you are looking for a genuine and unforgettable vacation experience, you will find it with us.

Myself and my girlfriend booked this ahead of our first trip to Thailand.

After reading great reviews we were confident that this would be a great thing to do in Koh Chang and it was even better than expected!

Chat is an excellent tour guide. He is very friendly and makes the tour incredibly fun.

Chat shows you places that you would never see as a tourist such as beautiful private beaches, old fisherman's village, Buddhist temples and a quiet waterfall to swim in to cool off at the end.

Excellent value for money.

We genuinely felt like we had made a new friend in Chat.

Definitely the highlight of the holiday.

I'd recommend doing a bit of cycling before going in preparation.

We are looking to return to Koh Chang again at the end of this year and will be booking with Chat again for another tour!

Thanks for an incredible experience Chat!

Dom & Camilla.

Awesome, we booked this bike tour after having read good reviews on TA. Low and behold, we were definitely not disappointed. Chat (the guide) is amazing. His English is so good and he has so many interesting stories and facts to tell you about Koh Chang. He picked us up at our hotel exactly on time and met us with a big smile. His tour takes us to areas of Koh Chang that we would never have thought of visiting on our own. The ride is fairly flat and easy with very little traffic. The bikes are Merida off-road type which have seen better days but did the job. The group he takes varies but seldom more than 6. Usually interesting people on tours of this type and we met some nice Danes and English. Chat’s well-organized route has stops for drinks along the way and ends with lunch at a great little Thai restaurant with delicious homemade food. This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. Don’t leave Koh Chang without joining one of Chat’s tours.

We ( 3 friends) had a great morning riding round part of Koh Chang with Chat. He picked us up from our hotel at 8.30am and we began cycling at 9. It is not particularly challenging , except in the heat and would be suitable for most people. The pace is gentle. ( I do cycle most days though). We went by the sea, through villages, to the elephant sanctuary and a waterfall. Chat is a lovely guy with great English and a good sense of humour. We all had a good time in his company. We all thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend the tour.

So glad we took the time to take this tour, all 5 of us loved every exhilerating minute. A must for the adventurous. Our guide Chat was funny, knowledgable and friendly; he collected us from our hotel at 8.30am and drove us to our starting point, a revered Chinese Temple (most local drivers beep 3 times as they pass it, some take their hands off the wheel and pray). 3 of us shook fortune sticks here, leaving any 'no lucks' behind by placing them under heavy feet of ornamental elephants. From here we cycled to private land - a spit of sandy coastline from which you can see the sun rise AND set. Next was a rubber plantation - jungle at it's finest - then to an elephant sanctuary (10 retired females who used to be paraded through the streets of Bangkok) before visiting a traditional fisherman's village, and then finally a steep, slippery clamber up & through more jungle to swim in a waterfall so hidden that not even many locals know about it. Our day rounded off with food & drink in a Thai eating house during which Chat replayed the photo scenes he'd taken as we travelled. Chat drove us back to our hotel by about 3pm. All food, drinks (& jungle formula!) was included. Tip would be to wear canvas shoes - the waterfall climb is slippery.

Just got back from this tour and have to say it was amazing! You go completely off the beaten track and see some of the local thai villages, elephants, waterfalls, temples and then finish up having lunch at a local restaurant! Completely and utterly the best day trip/activity I've done anywhere! Thank you to Chat for making it such an enjoyable afternoon!

We booked this tour as this was one of the few things that were different from the sea, elephant and snorkelling pattern.

Our expectations were not really big, but... well... what a day!

You must not leave Chang without giving it a go. You are going to see another view of the island, real people, real homes, real life and what is more > real food! On top of that, the bikes are really good and Chat is such a biiiig entertainer.

Make yourself a favor and book this before you come to Chang

I’m so happy I did this tour, Chat the guide is amazing, he was a pleasure to chat too all day, his English is perfect and he’s so knowledgeable about the history of the island, I also learnt so much also about Thai culture. The bike ride itself was mostly on nice straight quiet roads, only one or 2 little hills, I recommend wearing trainers for climbing the waterfall. At the end you go for some really yummy local food, a great day all round!

This is for absolutely everyone who would like to see more of Koh Chang than beaches and restaurants. My husband and I are 53 years old and this biking trip fits anybody. Bikes are western standard and makes the trip very manageable. And the stories Chat tells about the sites, local life, it's history and how he grew up, in excellent English, should be worth while taking home from holidays. Lunch at a local restaurant was good and tasty. Do give this entrepreneur Chat a chance. He won't let you down.
