I often judge a company's professionalism by how well they handle problems. I was onboard the dive boat when we realized that I required a medical form. That's my fault. They couldn't allow me to dive, so I spent the day watching others dive. The manager was very reasonable and gave me a partial refund.

as mentioned before, Dave and his crew are very professional, small groups on the boat, good diving sites, fresh good food on the boat.
my wife did her open water PADI with scubazone (13500bht), and I did a refresher course. Dave had no problem combining my refresher with my wife course dives, so the two of us dived with him and learnt our stuff. The next day my wife was not feeling well, no problem, we just called Dave and he had no problem postponing the course for another day. For the final written exam, Dave brought the papers to our hotel and sat until my wife finished her exam, very personal treatment, what can we ask for more?
we'll defiantly go back to scubazone when we'll visit koh Chang again.
by the way, if you are staying at the garden resort (Kai Bae), you can book through Mause (hotel owner) and get 10% reduction on scubazone prices.

Me and my partner had never dived before but Mark was incredibly encouraging, helpful and supportive. Even for a one-day beginner's dive, we learnt a lot and had an excellent experience. Also, the boat was spacious, the Thai staff on board were very helpful and lunch was nice. Recommended.

We stayed in Kae Bai and the days we went diving, Scuba-Zone would pick us up at the allotted time from our hotel to take us to Bang Bao Pier where the boat is moored. On the way we picked up more divers and at Lonely Beach we did a pick up for all the fresh veg etc which was needed for lunch that day. Lunches are very good, with plenty of food and variety. There is also tea, coffee, water and soft drinks available.
At Bang Bao Pier it’s a walk through the market to the pier and the Scuba Zone boat. It is a large boat with plenty of space for kitting up, hanging up suits etc. There is a marine toilet and upstairs is the relaxing area, which is partly covered where lunch is served. The crew will do all the kitting up for you, but don’t mind if you prefer to do this yourself, which we do. All equipment can be hired if you haven't got any with you. There is a freshwater tank for cameras etc. Getting into the water is a giant stride off the side and to get back on board there are 2 ladders at the rear. The crew will help you aboard by taking cameras, weight belts etc off you if you find it easier ( us oldies need this service!! – thank you crew)
The diving is good in this area and does not look overfished. The water is so warm – it was 31 deg C most dives. There are plenty of soft coral, fish, nudibranches etc etc. Vis was quite good, but believe it would improve with the season (we went in November). We were lucky to be in Koh Chang when an old navy ship was sunk to form an artificial reef and even got to dive it 2 days later.
If we should come back to Koh Chang, we would not hesitate to dive with Scuba Zone again – very professional. Thanks again to Cyril, David, Mark and all the crew for making it a great trip. We arranged it all through their email service and paid on the day on the boat, which made life so much easier.

A pleasant experience above and under water. A superb equipped dive boat took us to two different dive sites around the Koh Chang archipelago. Although you may miss the more spectacular sightings of marine wildlife down there, plenty of coral and coral fish occupy these waters. The boat was comfortably outfitted with cushioned seats and the food was decent. Our guide Cyril was a multilingual islander with plenty of scuba experience, he lived in the Caribbean before - but is now amongst the best informed folks on this island.
The charges were in line with other dive operators here, they offer the regular programs of PADI etc. schooling. I am since long AOW and just in the market for a fresh plunge.
Daily dives are offered year-round in these warm waters. Visibility was reasonably good and for the upkeep of their scuba-gear they deserve a big thumbs up! Not the run-of-the-mill low maintenance rental gear as found too often in Thailand.

I really enjoyed my 1st scuba diving experience... I never thought I would be able to do it as I paniced a lot trying to descend vertically and by the rope, but David was very patient and took me to the beach so we could descend slowly and by the time I knew it, we were 10m down!
In the pool, David was very patient with me and gave me time to practice my skills on my own as I was struggling a bit... when I finally managed to do it, it was a great feeling. On my last dive, I couldn't get my right ear to pop unfortunately, so couldn't complete the open water course with the time that remained for me on Koh Chang, but have a scuber diver licence, which can be upgraded hopefully in the not too distant future. The diving experience has made me want to learn more and do more.
The boat days were really enjoyable, all the staff and other divers are extremely friendly and fun, the food was really nice and theres plenty for everyone.
Theres free drinking water, tea, coffee and coke also, plus if you want to try but have friends who don't they can go along snorkelling for the day.
It really was an amazing experience and I managed to overcome my nerves and experience something I had always wanted to do.
Thanks for being patient and giving me the time to practice, gain confidence and have an amazing underwater experience! :)

Marc and David made an excellend job and spread an always nice, relaxed and friendly atmosphere what was reflected by customers as well. For me (since 20 years experianced diver) and my wife (beginner) they made individual tailored service to your needs. Even our kits (4 and 5 years) were "babysitted" from the very frendly crew on board and even made a short snorkling trip during our dive.
The boat have enough space (more than compared to others we saw).
The food on board (fresh coocked) was extreamly delishes!
All in one: If you are planning to dive on koh chang, I recommend to choose them.

Dove with Scuba Zone Koh Chang for four straight days in February. This is a very well-run operation, good value for money, helpful and friendly instructors and dive-masters and most important some really nice low-key dive sites and a couple of more-exciting ones as well. Dave, Steve, Mark and Vaenge were all equally helpful and patient, as I was returning to diving after a long absence and rather rusty on my skill sets. Would highly recommend them for beginners, adventure divers, and with the new 30 m deep HTMS Chang wreck some pulse-pounding excitement as well.
