This seems like the most popular company for snorkelling trips from Koh Chang, advertised in a lot of places.

Day went smoothly - picked up on time by truck, signed in at the end of the jetty efficiently, assigned speedboat, given life jacket and snorkel, departed on time, visited 2 locations for 45 mins each, then went to island for lunch. After lunch, back to jetty and taken back to hotel by same pick-up truck.

Lunch was Thai curry, rice, noodles, fruit and soft drink.

Cost was 1200 baht total per person. (200 of that is the National Park fee)

I'd recommend 3 island, speedboat, national park, morning option as you get there before the bigger boats and see more in a shorter time.

They upload the photos from the trip to their Facebook page the next day.

A small issue was that the masks weren't the best quality, so leaked a little.

Our tour included 3 1h hour stopps, and lunch on the boat. The first stop took place around a rock in the south near koh wai, second at a beach at Koh khan. Did we see fish? Yes. All kind of. Was there an instruction on how to „behave“ in these areas? No. So a lot of our group stepped on corals, touched things etc. I couldn‘t believe when I saw one of the stuff members diving down collecting seasnails, picking them from the reef. This is a no go. Last stop was at koh mak. A small reef to explore and look out for corals and fish.

Speedboat tour with around 30 people.
One "guide", we were taken to different spots without any explanation whatsoever of the place or any guide at all. He didn't even explained basic rules such as not touching coral etc or not even sharing the name of the island.
The guide wasn't helpful at all with usual little things such as helping you getting back onto the boat etc.
It's all good if you are experienced and just want a boat to take you to snorkelling spots but not recommended if you want a guide.

We paid for the 5 island package and on arrival we were told to pay an extra 200 for a foreigner entrance free at one the islands (even if we stay on the boat). It was raining and they refused to cancel. Our vessel almost capsized with the huge waves and heavy rain! Please , do not book. Rain or shine, they want the money and don’t care about your safety. Thankful to be home and safe.

The cost of the day trip for the 5 snorkelling spots is real value for money. Plenty of time at all the spots and the food is also good. I lost my wallet on board and the crew did everything they could to find it but it didn't show up before we left the boat. During the trip home (transportation was included in the cost of the trip). The driver stopped and he had received a text that they had found the wallet. They said they would deliver to my hotel the next day and true to their word it turned up in the morning. I cannot thank them enough the captain and the crew deserve all the credit and even though there was nothing valuable in the wallet the integrity they showed was fantastic.

We booked a private speed boat for 31 people included kids. Service and staff on boat was nice. Just want to complain the reception, it wasn’t a warm welcome when we first arrived. Also checkout. They would have a better staff taking this job. It was a nice trip but felt upset at the end. I wouldn’t recommend this shop. There must be somewhere else better

Beautiful snorkelîng sites but beware !! We were 2 adults and 2 kids and had a very dangerous experience that could have turned very badly : we did not hear the horn of the boat when it was time to come back to the boat and it was leaving without us! I have a good voice and could shout so other tourists heard and asked the boat to stop. 5 crew membees for 30 tourists on board and they do not see 4 people missîng... It got frighteningly dangerous when we arrived close to the boat and the captaî then decided to make it go backwards! My daughter was starting to get sucked under, I grabbed her with all my strength wirh one arm, holdîg the ladder of the boat in the other. Thîgs could have gone so bad I am still shivering at the thought.
Please be conscious that here they are highly incompetent, and it can be very, very dangerous for your safety - and worse, the safety of your kids ! I don't know if other companies are better...

Took us to good spots quickly. Didn’t have to waste time traveling in the slow boats.

Took photos of us underwater which was great. We downloaded this later.

Food was tasty.

Not the best at welcoming and explaining but we are seasoned snorkelers so we were fine.

Enjoyed the standing board

We booked a standard tour with them (incl. pick up and drop off). The crew gave me and my girl a set of mask and snorkel and they asked for our stay. 12 boats in total left the Harbor and they did exactly the same way to the first Island. There we were very disappointed of what we saw. Crowds of people the water, 12 boats which tried to find a parking position. Lots of diesel in the air and also in the water.

The Islands itself were pretty beautiful but the whole trip was horror. On the first Island I gave my snorkeling gear back to the captain and said that I'm disappointed about the tour. I don't wanna go snorkeling because there are more than enough people in the water. That's the thing they don't tell you when you book a tour.

Later the collected the snorkeling gear back und I said I already gave mine back to the captain but this mf of a captain said no, I haven't! They tried to charge me 300THB wich I don't wanted to pay. I already gave my snorkeling gear back!

Back in the Harbour they told me that they will cancel our transport back to the hotel if I don't pay for the snorkeling gear. I did not pay so we went back on our own costs.

I went to the travel agency in Klong Prao and asked the Lady to give us the 200THB back what we paid for the taxi. She won't pay and we called the police wich became very angry with the lady.

Finally I got my 200THB back. I travelled many times to Thailand and all other countries in SEA. I never had such a bad service. That's exactly not what we've expacted from Koh Chang Island.

Sorry, but never again! Don't cheat tourists!

We recently have returned from a trip to Thailand including 6 days in Koh Chang. We booked the “5 Island” dive trip on Perm Poon Sub through our hotel, and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. I am a qualified diver, however my partner isn’t. so we decided to do a snorkelling trip instead. I have been on my fair share of dive boats over the years from Australia to the Middle East, so I think I am fairly well placed to comment on our experience.

We were picked up promptly and on time by our bus at the front of our hotel in Kai Bae Beach, and were taken on a shortish ride with other passengers down to Bang Bao. We walked through the charming fishing village, and boarded the boat. The boat we were actually going out on was moored one boat away from the pier, so we had to climb on the first boat, and then work our way off the side of the desk of that boat onto the other, with minimal hand holds etc… safety clearly wasn’t a major factor here!

We boarded the boat and took our seats up stairs, on plastic chairs that were tied with string to the sides of the boat so they didn’t move around too much. The boat then headed off, no introduction, no safety briefing, nothing… everyone left to fend for themselves. The boat was packed, and it seemed that the staff had a lot of family and friends on the boat, as being the high season, there were not a lot of paying guests. This was reflected in the service, where the staff were all too happy to show the local Thai’s the animal identification charts and the map of where they were going, but didn’t show it to either ourselves or the two Russian couple in front of us.

We pulled up at the first snorkelling site, and were greeted with the view of four other boats, and about 200 people in the water. It was made compulsory to wear flotation devices in the water, which makes it impossible to snorkel properly as you can’t actually dive under the surface. When asked if we could go without we were told that that wasn’t possible, even though we are quite capable swimmers. I thought this might have been a safety policy, but I proved that theory wrong (more on that later).

So into the water we go, welcome to a mass of bubbles, bread being fed to the fish and general disregard for the preservation of the reef and the animals. The snorkeling sites were OK at best . People were allowed to stand on the reef, the guides were picking up urchins and other animals and bringing them to the surface, and even scraps from the food being prepared were being thrown overboard. One of the guides was pulling people along by getting them to hold onto a life jacket, he pushed past me in the water, asked me to get out of the way as he had paying customers on his guided tour, I was absolutely shocked.

We climbed back aboard the boat, to find that food was served and ready to go. It was a nice meal of local thai curries etc. One Thai passenger grabbed a plate and began to serve himself, so one of the Russian men thought it was ok to start serving, only to be shouted at and told that it was not ready to eat yet… this was a common occurrence with snacks later on and even the main meal… it seems that locals were allowed to do as they pleased, but foreigners were treated as second class customers. I have never seen anything so rude from Thai people ever before, or ever again!

The fruit was refrigerated; however the chicken skewers for the bbq were left out in the open air for a good 2-3 hours prior to being cooked, so needless to say we passed on those as they would have been well past their best.

I think the absolute lowlight happened when an Australian man was climbing down the ladder from the top deck to the one below, he slipped and fell quite awkwardly. All of the staff just looked and some even laughed… he had to help himself up and hobble away.

Beware the 5 islands pitch… in reality 3 of the islands are within about 100m of each other… hardly a change from one reef to the next! At one point we stopped between two islands, about 40m apart. This was classed as a ‘2 island stop’, and you could choose to either snorkel or to swim to the beach of the larger island. At this point I was told that I was allowed to swim to the beach without my life vest… so much for not being allowed to swim without one earlier!

If you want to do the snorkelling, do it with another operator, this company has no regard for their paying customers, safety of the passengers or crew, and no care for for the reef that they are bringing people out to see.
